Shannon does a great job on Tekthing. However the show frequency, preproduction, research and travel have meant Hak5 the show that created the gear has suffered.
I was speaking to one my coworkers/client about this.
He enjoyed the virtualisation segments. These days I am little over with the current Hak5 gear content
Secondly how you do a show without Darren or replacement person to step-in person when darren is away travelling
Having 2 channels doesn't instantly mean increased revenue. What it really means is managing 2 different channels vs just 1.
Especially with the current youtube climate revenue is lower and content is being flaged as demonetised

Does anyone know what this hash is?
It's 13 characters in length. I'm trying to figure out what type of cypto hash
So I can run John or some rainbow tables on it
I would love to crack open the firmware my Hava HD plantium
They've released the gpl code on the site with very little documentation or support

I couldn't understand why pixel perfect would get the yanked. Yes the show didn't attract the sponsors cause it's an educational show that you normally find on Public broadcasting network. They normally have no ads either and the show could be resold onto a DVD
I still find it werid that web-shows like 'You suck at Photoshop' rate well and get advertisers. YSAP is more a frustrated and ruder version of Bert's Pixel Perfect
The shows never found there audience and the advertisers
Where be someone didn't like the host of the show or the content. The some content wasn't relevant to them
Hak5 has escaped cause a relative new show and fits into rev3 tech show line up.
Since Hak5 is external. Like Wine Libary TV and Epic FU. Could it be maybe in 6 months time the same decision if HAK5 doesn't rate or make money rev3 is going to drop the advertisement/distribution contract?
I think Hak5 need to prepare or have a prepared some disaster recovery plan encase rev3 deal did go the same way as Epic Fu and WLTV. One of the first things we can do
- Recruit production staff/assistant perhaps from local school/college and uni to work for free on Hak5. Current recruitment methods are not working
- Prepare a Plan B or Disaster Recovery Plan. Incase revision3 needs to let Hak5 go
- What happened to TKAF? Whats happening and where we want to go with it?
