  1. Update: It just will not boot. (well if its off for a couple days it *might* boot) MKV 1.4.1 Just a green power LED. No e-net, no wifi. With switch 5 set for reflash, still nothing. (network set up correctly) About to toss in garbage pile. (I HOPE /PRAY the HackRF on order isn't the same quality.) orig: Started playing again with the MK5. Latest/greatest firmware. It seems to hang after a while (that's *kinda* ok) But if I cycle power, it never finishes booting. Just a single green LED. No ping, no eth0 lights on laptop (nor IP) Sometimes unplugging for a few minutes helps other times not. Ideas? TIA. (on a side note, for some strange reason, using it as a router/AP at this hotel that restricts its WiFi to a single device, when the MK5 is working well, it will associate and work, with no re-entering the PW. All devices work behind the MK5. Will see what happens after the PW runs out.)
  2. One prob, one Q I've had to do the dip-switch reset a few times. This last round I can't seem to SSH into the WP. I get the usual key already in .ssh/known_hosts Delete that key. Then when ssh'ing in, I'm prompted to change the password. I enter a new PW, then prompted that the pw is UNchanged, session closed. Ideas? The Q is I have 2 IV's and a V. how can I set the .ssh/known_hosts to allow all three barring a new IP on the WP, if possible?
  3. wouldn't a dip switch use a script anyways? A random mac @ boot saves that limited dip switch for other uses, I'd think.
  4. Update from mine. Wallwart plugged in and <red> battery off. .....many hours later..... Wallwart turned green. Turned on battery; switch LED was red. battery charged I assume.
  5. I did do the symlynk. That cause the prob? (I'm still fuzzy on symlinks) But here's my output: (I usually start it via the small title) Not started at all: root@Pineapple:~# sslstrip Traceback (most recent call last): File "/sd/usr/bin/sslstrip", line 30, in <module> from sslstrip.StrippingProxy import StrippingProxy ImportError: No module named sslstrip.StrippingProxy root@Pineapple:~# Started via small title: root@Pineapple:~# sslstrip Traceback (most recent call last): File "/sd/usr/bin/sslstrip", line 30, in <module> from sslstrip.StrippingProxy import StrippingProxy ImportError: No module named sslstrip.StrippingProxy Started via large title: root@Pineapple:~# sslstrip Traceback (most recent call last): File "/sd/usr/bin/sslstrip", line 30, in <module> from sslstrip.StrippingProxy import StrippingProxy ImportError: No module named sslstrip.StrippingProxy root@Pineapple:~# I did not reboot the WP between tries.
  6. I got same result it seems: root@Pineapple:~# sslstrip Traceback (most recent call last): File "/sd/usr/bin/sslstrip", line 30, in <module> from sslstrip.StrippingProxy import StrippingProxy ImportError: No module named sslstrip.StrippingProxy root@Pineapple:~# I appreciate the effort WM!
  7. After a factory resett for some strange reason and installing 1.3, sslstrip starts (still only manually) and then stops but still says 'enabled'. A refresh says its not running.
  8. I thought I saw somewhere 12 hours for the big one and less for the smaller. The red LED I think is just a power indicator, not a charge indicator. Its also funny how so many differ on how to treat lithium ions. I've read the entire gamut.
  9. Have the bigger pineapplejuice for the V. When its charging, does the PSU light go green when done? Is there any over charge protection? @12hours to charge, if there is no protection not feeling warm & fuzzy leaving it alone.
  10. Well you can pop open the device and check out the voltage regulator and look up its specs. Its probably good to 18-24 vdc. They typically have more probs when its a 5VDC regulator and you are feeding it less then say 7vdc. (LDO versions, Low Drop Outs help with this, which is probably why the IV had 'power issues' on 5VDC)
  11. Is there a tutorial on making infusions? Safe to say the small and large title code is basic html? I think I made a hello world one, but how do I install it? just make a folder in xx/infusions/<myinfusion> and unpack it?
  12. Are they just for boot mode or can they be flipped while up and running (like the old WPS button)?
  13. I have it installed and can start manually (form web-interface.) But the auto-start doesn't work. This normal? for now?
  14. ah ok, wheew. misread the post. Sorry. 12 hour drive, few hours sleep, then work caught up.
  15. the non sequ order is probably best. does the most common first, then off to the more obscure.
  16. Common on the center?? Positive on outer? Really? Beyond odd (have seen in the past) and should NOT have been done that way. (unless fishing for 'replacement' buys) It HAS to be in huge bold print in the manual. Seems missing, totally, in the current manual.
  17. When the car is running the voltage should be 13.8-14 VDC. lead acid batteries get charged with a higher voltage.
  18. I'm having the same crashing/rebooting issue with sslstrip. It will run for a random amount of time, then crash the WP into a reboot. (same results on 2 different WP) is there a bad combo of infusions? 3.0.0 WP Wall powered (12VDC) WP Wall powered USB hub (even removed the hub) WifiScript running WiFi manager installed but letting wifiscript set things up. karma off dnsspoof off TIA
  19. I've had zero probs with the WP and Mac OSX 10.6.8 Well scratch that. If I run ProXPN (VPN) on the Mac, I drop the WP/ICS.
  20. I'm hard pressed to believe SMA is higher grade then SMA-RP. Now if you were talking changing families to MCX, MMCX, TNC, N, UHF, etc I might buy it depending on the freq. But with that said I had picked up SMA to SMA-RP connectors to do tests on the spectrum analyzer for some HAM radio and GPS antenna designs. So I should be set with the arsenal of antennas I already own.
  21. Kinda knocks out most other antennas. Glad I have adapters in house. (hope I have enough)
  22. Awaiting delivery. But I'm rather interested in a manual ahead of time. Would like to know about the switches and expansion port. Is the exp port like the one on the rasp pi? Have python libraries to access?
