I THINK THINK all of them just backup the drive before you start and when you want to change the drive back to normal U3 just replace the backup you made and delete the launchpad .iso file and run the updater again and it should update from the internet but I might be wrong about this and you should get a second opinion

I have no problem with RTFQS that's because manuals can be huge and hard to understand for some people QuickStarts are another story if you don't understand the manual thats fine, I learn more from playing around then reading a manual and use that as a last step. however if there's a quickstart(noob guide) and you don't understand that then you shouldn't using that piece quite yet.

for a quick fix turn on the on screen keyboard F6 I think but it might not work if the keyboard is not working at all for login.. try that let me know if it works.
