  2. Well hopefully you know what a system pipe is.. If you don't, Might want to pick up a BASH guide.
  3. I'd been receiving a SSH brute force since the 14th, Didn't notice It because I only go over my logs every now & then.
  4. Sorry, We forgot to lock the gate on the crazy room, Step 1: Download Fedora Step 2: Burn It! Step 3: Install
  5. Have you assigned It a IP address? And by that I mean a local one. But I'm not sure how you go about doing this under Windows sorry.

    Vpn

VPN connections are usually encrypted.. (Well that's the point usually..) Then you could SSH into the server/desktop and continue that way, Not sure about Windows though but I'd tunnel a X server connection through the SSH connection once you VPN into the host. Maybe next time you don't waste $300 on a Windows license and buy professional VPN software :P Just my 8 cents.
  9. Facebook huh? Well that just adds to the rest of it all.....
  10. Bits & bytes are forms of measuring data, One bit is equal to either "1 or 0" Pretty sure It's base 8 or base 9 values. Might want to learn that basic concept before using your PC again.

    Still under warranty Berkeley?
  18. 1Mb (Megabit) is qual in metric size to 0.125MB (Megabyte) So a byte is 8 times as large as a bit. RAID arrays some in many market standards, For speed RAID 0 is recommended. With a minimum of 2 drives you can split the data among the two so the heads can write/read at the same time approximately doubling your data bandwidth. With RAID 1 you mirror your data among a multiple of drives giving a higher chance against hard drive platter damage.
  19. Pretty sure I mentioned that It was lowercase.. I might just tell you the password if you really want? You have quite a lot more to progress through before you complete it all not including the first password section.
  20. Ubuntu is prone to breaking due to the level of user interaction, If you need to compile applications for your environment you'll have greater control over everything compared to the automated RPM/DEB etc Of course this is my opinion, So you're going to refuse this.
  21. The password doesn't directly include the phrase "arr_pirate" in any mutated state. It's a clue towards the password... (Maybe a characters name in a movie? Or a batman mug either one :P)
  22. Have you tried formatting it to NTFS or EXT?
  23. Yes that's why I mentioned them.
