And with quite a lot of software for windows that i need, and me resorting to a linux live cd everytime windows blows up on me, so it would be sort of a perfect mix...

Folder lock is by far the best, physically hides the folder, so you have to have folderlock open and with the password in to see the files, even though they could be sitting the disk, there is no trace.
