boristsr Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 what I do is have a base and varables eg *****EKuyG the first two are radom letters and the next 3 numbers ... so since noone knows my real base all i do is in the pass hint put the varable except for one simple problem: now everyone knows this and has a very simple to crack 5 byte password. hell, that can be brute forced in no time. Guest ABC Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 considering that isnt my realy base.. you have 10 charetrs to go Quote
Rab Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 lol if you use those passwords u must be a total tard, or u dont care if someone gets access to it... i often just signup with a very memorable bad password if im not bothered. just use a combination of a-z0-9!"£$%^&*() in your passwords. whatever is memorable... say... my name could be... m1k3wh!tehur$t ...good password i feel,... Kateweb Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 when are people ganna come out of the dark ages and use a pass Phrase instead of a password? One I don't use any more was killtheqtip odd I know but , thers a story - thiers allways a story. Quote
burn Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I like it when people use the same password for everything. There's nothing better than sitting at a coffee shop and getting someone's myspace password that also works for their aol mail, yahoo mail ... etc. I still can't believe most forums don't have a secure login page. That and whenever you request your password, most sites are able to send you your original password which means it's stored in their database in clear text. Now you have to trust the forum admins, the mail server admins, and anyone listening in between. Quote
univrsltransl8r Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 i<3te(hn01ust I less than 3 it too. =) Quote

Loki Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 another common one is their partner's name that's very true as well as most name of family members and pets I had a friend who used the name of his cat for his password on almost everything lol. Quote
moonlit Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 lmao @ "letmein" that is great I used to use letmein for projects that dealt with passwords when I used to program on the Amiga... ...and I still managed to forget it on many occasions :S Quote
thisiam Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 if number of characters that you can use is not a factor i stick to whole sentences Quote
