I can't imagine why anyone would want to use MCE, but I make music, and use Ozone products, which aren't currently supported by MCE, so it just doesn't make any sense for me (or probably anyone who makes music with their PC).
This is 100% accurate. I believe the only reasons we haven't seen more malware for Linux and OSX is that there is simply not enough opportunity for gain due to:
1. Lack of popularity
2. Technical proficiency and savvy of those users (Linux).
If/when these OS's really get momentum, like Windows has, and are adopted by the technically ignorant masses, we will see just as many attacks on them.
I think size and price are probably the biggest factors. Aside from that, it's mostly nickle and dime stuff when it come to speed comparisons. The bottom line is that it's going to take a while to move that many bits. I don't care what kind of flash it is. It just takes time.
