Could we maybe pin this, make it a sticky.

This will be so helpful to us noobs.

Also does anyone know what would be the best powered USB hub?

Well done mrgray, Thanks

A single thread for accessories that work is a bit easier than a new person (like me) sifting through the mark iv and mark v threads to find solutions that work.

I would prefer to buy all my accessories from the hakshop so any profit goes to Darren and the crew, but I understand it might be impossible for them to sell everything.

I've found some of the best deals on Ebay and buying from China:

Connectors

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281103061197?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I bought 2 straight, 2 90 degree elbows with shipping it was less than $10.00. Great quality.

Antennas:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300949768340?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

http://www.ebay.com/itm/151115334343?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I found a Yagi antenna for less than $10, but the item is no longer there.

The range on these are insane.

I now have a full collection for the Pineapple and spent less than $45. It takes some time for shipping, but well worth the wait.

You can add this battery: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BB5VQCE/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can vouch for it after using it for a couple weeks now. From what I can tell so far it will do the Pineapple for about 22hrs by itself, or both the Pineapple and Kali-Pi (with 4 radios between them) for roughly 8-10hrs. And you can be charging it while its powering both. Pretty happy with it so far.

Why do you need a RP-SMA Male to SMA Female?

I am assuming for those antennas I posted..

wouldn't the antenna be female RP-SMA and the pineapple mark v male SMA? this whole RP-SMA and SMA thing has had me very confused. If you search SMA on amazon you get tons of thing that are mostly RP-SMA.

View the original post. You would want an SMA Male to RP-SMA Female.

damn, so those antennas i posted wont work without those adaptors, correct? why are the ones in the first post $10 Each? thats twice as much as the cost of the antennas lol I'll probably just order the china ones from ebay.

The China ones from eBay are the correct ones, should only take a week or so.

In fact I had ordered 4 off amazon, I doubt it really matters but I only received 1 that was like the picture at amazon (gold color) 3 of them were silver and even though they are the correct adapter, they look much cheaper even a different shape.

Long story short, I got the ones from China, I got them in a week.

I dont mind waiting, for now ill play with these 9dbi antennas on my alfa wifi card lol

I just got these same antennas today along with the proper adapters. They were worse than stock. A lot worse. Let me know how your experience is.

I'm almost tempted to think my Mark V has signal issues. My Mark V can just about see my router on the other side of the house let alone actually being able to perform any successful attacks on it while my old laptop with a broadcom b/g mini pci-e card and standard on board antenna can attack it with ease.

Apologies for the slight hijacking with an Amazon.co.uk link but I promise it's a good one...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CSI4E04/

This 15000mAh battery pack from EasyAcc has a 12V DC port and comes with a DC-DC cable (visble in one of the product pictures) which fits perfectly between the power pack and the pineapple. The two ends of the DC-DC cable are slightly different, from eyeballing it they both have 5.5mm OD but the internal diameter is different so you might think the cable doesn't fit at first but try it the othe way around.

To give you an idea of the size it is roughly the same width and thickness as the pineapple without antennas but twice as long.

In a completely unscientific test I ran the pineapple for about a day and it went from somewhere near 3/4 full to somewhere near 1/4 full.

It charges over microUSB and I have tested that with a good charger it can recharge the pack (slowly) whilst still running the pineapple (YMMV: you may load your pineapple more than I did).

The lack of a supplied USB charger is either good because you don't pay for something you've already got or bad because you still need to buy one.

I've looked but couldn't find this on the Amazon.com site and it's not even on the manufacturer's site.

I use the 12.000mAh/4 USB Port version with my SGS4 and i'll get about 4-5 full charges out.

But i don't think it'll work with the Pineapple, the manual says 'up to 2A' but if i use wlan1 in client mode while i have injection on wlan0 on it gets in a rebootcycle.

I first thought something messed up and pluged in a serial to USB monitor.

And i got a nice clean bootup until the radios powerup and reboots... so not anough juice inside :/

I'll stick to the 12V power and use the EasyAcc to powerup my RasPi :) btw... in took about 15 1/2 hours runtime for the RasPi

Next i'll try the Gowergorilla from my friendly Campercollegue
