Mr-Protocol
As watching this movie currently. Just noticed a sign that was on the wall right before the team all got busted on the payphones. A sign that said "Trust your technolust". I might be a little slow, but I only watched this movie like once when it came out. It's kind of outrageous but still a decent watch. Mr-Protocol
Just realized that there is a thread that already states it was in the movie. Oh well. Everyone should re-watch it, if not to remember a good film, Angelina Jolie. ;)

dr0p
whats funny is that there is a soundtrack to Hackers 2. but no movie. Yes there is, it's called Hackers 2: Takedown; technically it's just called Takedown, but it's known by many as Hackers 2. The third is called Antitrust. Mr-Protocol
In some countries the movie is called "Takedown". In the US it's called "Track Down". I own it on DVD. Paid like $30 because I had to have it special ordered to a store, a long time ago because nobody had it. It's a really good film in my opinion. okiwan
i agree. i love takedown, despite 2600's war against the film.

okiwan
operation takedown is also the title of the book written by the guy who captured him. i own that as well. btw: "a famous hacker"?! how do you not know who kevin mitnick is?! if you look up hacker in the dictionary you see his picture (not really). but seriously kevin mitnick is to hacking as salvador dali is to surrealism. Mr-Protocol
I can't remember, the movie might be actually based off of the book. I vaguely remember something like that.
okiwan
it was supposed to be, but the book was based more on tsutomu shimomura's point of view (the guy who caught him) sense it was written by him. and the movie is based more on kevins point of view. its the same story/events just modified to make a better film. Mr-Protocol
They have both points of view. Tsutomu from the DVD extras was actually on set helping with things for the film.
