i have the codecs. i assume the drivers are installed because amarok worked at one point in time. youtube videos still play sound no problem. videos arent an issue either. its just my music

know those stickers that are on most computers that tell you stuff like the processor and installed OS? the intel, amd, and windows stickers. does anyone know of a place that will print stickers that size? i checked cafe press and thats a no lol

well your going to want to google for a backtrack3 guide if thats what your going to use penetration testing pen testing they are the same thing so either works. those are good to google for wep cracking wifi cracking those should also aid you a bit.

as long as your not just using a scripting engine of another program like creating a gimp script. you can use another program but your code must be in an actual programming language

lol no problem. thought it was funny i am using ubuntu studio 8.1 so far the only reliable music playing software ive had is xmms2 with 2 different frontends depending on how i feel like using it that day. but the interface is terrible and none of the frontends ive tried have any real sense of management. its just load up the files and play. which wouldnt be an issue if the 900+ songs werent in complete disorder

sparda said amarok rocks. im the one who asked the question lol. but ill check out songbird :) thanks amarok works on occasion and when it does its the 2nd best music management software ive used next to winamp. but for the most part it crashes randomly under 3 circumstances all at the start of the program 1(most common). it starts playing but theres no sound. then the lil animation(sound bars at the bottom of the browser window) stop moving and the program stops responding. 2(second most common). i click play and it says its playing but its cycling through the songs without playing a sound. theres no delay it just flashes the names of the song and stops responding 3(only happened twice). it updates my collection and crashes halfway through. edit: songbird's interface and everything would be perfect but it wont play anything. i click play, the play/pause button shows pause as if its playing. but it stays at 0:00 and not a sound coming through.

answered! do not reply sorry for the large size above. people seem to not read the post ive tried amarok and it works on rare occasions but 90% of the time it just crashes and im tired of trying to deal with it. xmms is no longer available. xmms2 has multiple frontends but none that ive found so far that i like. anything remotely like winamp or even something like amarok would be perfect but something that works is what i need.

im using a crappy old verizon vx8300 or something and the calendar/alarm feature will do exactly what you want

im running ubuntu studio and loving it lol. but aside from that. i cant recommend any books but i can say the code blocks compiler is nice and its cross platform so you dont have to worry about it during the switch. http://www.codeblocks.org/ its a fairly easy to use IDE and it is a plugin based system as well so if you want to make something but you dont know what then you can make a plugin for it or something

welcome. fyi c++ is the language most companies use to program their games. but its also the language a large portion of the non gaming programs are made from. its used for games because its very powerful but thats nowhere near its only application

there have been many languages that have tried to take the place of c++. nothing has done it. if you want a secure career i'd stick to c++, java, or c#.

yes thats not what im talking about. programming, although fairly simple, is considered an advanced thing to do with a computer. but a zip file, at least to me, is one of the most basic things to learn when you start using a computer.
