get yourself one of those crappy fake cameras or maybe a webcam. get a ladder climb up high enough over your door that the camera would be out of reach to anyone. then stick it there pointed at an angle towards the path that leads up to your house. then put a small sign with bold letters above your knob that says "if you place advertisements or attempt to steal my package you will be prosecuted. you are on camera above you" or something along those lines. if you use the webcam there is plenty of software that will work. if anyone takes your packages again then report it.

lol if i had the money i would love to play in the stock market. but im afraid the only stocks i buy or sell are on neopets lol. and that was a while back. maybe i should start selling neopoints again lol

kmix icon is right on the top of the screen in the notification bar. its easier than opening a term window and its about the same as switching to one - the typing. though i always keep at least 1 term window open in another workspace. i use 5 or 6 workspaces at a time

already have grub installed. installed it with ubuntu studio ill have to do that. i found the dvd again today so ill do it tomorrow. i cant boot into vista. no control panel access. i cant change the partitions back since ive got data on them.

none of the files are lost. i can still get them all through ubuntu studio. the problem is that vista itself wont boot. @sparda. ill reformat the 7meg partition to fat instead of ntfs

not sure. but judging from how you normally post and the content of that topic i assume your saying i screwed up the partitioning and ill have to start from scratch? but if thats the case then why are the files on the vista partition are working just fine (the ones i can run under ubuntu that is)

all of my .avi files are playing oversaturated for some reason. its the same in all media players. my wallpaper isnt over saturated so i assume its not a messed up setting in ubuntu. but i have no idea whats going on

okay sorry. heres the info origionally there was 2 partitions for vista. a 10gig recovery and then the c: drive. i removed the recovery drive and moved the c: to the front(far left in g partition editor) and created the ubuntu partition with the recovery drive + an extra 5 gigs i took from the main drive. i figured it was no longer c because it was the first drive instead of the second. so i booted into the g partition editor. i shrank the vista drive by 7 megs. then i moved it to the right and made a 7meg partition before the vista partition. but now vista wont even boot. i select it from the boot menu and it reboots the computer

i just booted into vista for the first time since i installed ubuntu. my problem is that its no longer loading anything. all my programs are installed but arent working right. my wallpaper is missing, my desktop doesnt have the files it did before, all of my bookmarks are missing from firefox, and winamp wont run for long. everything says its the first run. im thinking it has to do with the fact that the drive used to be the c: drive. but now its the d: drive. can anyone tell me how to fix this? i need some serious help

im in need of a good video player to use in ubuntu studio. i got spoiled in windows because i had the feature rich kmplayer which puts vlc to shame in my opinion. both in functionality and looks. but kmplayer is native to windows so i cant use it. i liked the kmplayer because it played everything and had capture ability for screenshots, audio, and video. everytime i take a screenshot with vlc its corrupt. not to mention i cant stand how vlc controls. i need an alternative. the only qualifications are that it needs to be able to play .avi and it needs functioning screenshot. a plus for one would be that it can be installed via apt-get but it really doesnt matter. ill try just about anything before i pick the best for my needs. please refrain from posting if you plan to post anything like the following examples: vlc is powerful i will admit but im not looking for power. its pretty basic for most video players to be able to take screenshots. and thats all i really need is something that can play without glitching and can take screenshots properly. dont bother posting that. lower quality screenshot and is more trouble than it should be. i stopped doing that years ago and i see no reason to go back. ill boot into vista to watch videos before i do that crap again.

thanks much. kmix is perfect. id normally take the command line tool over gui but i needed something i could adjust quickly and gui is needed for it.

what ^ said. it wont free up a lot. if your in need of performance then close any running programs(including background progs like torrents and xfire) and it will give you more ram and processing power. to start explorer.exe after you finish your game just open up task manager(ctrl+shift+escape) and click new task. in the new dialogue type explorer.exe and click okay and that should start it back up. if its an game that plays over the net then youll want to close any torrents and anything connecting to the net in order to improve your connection speed. that makes a big difference.

done heres the first piece lol. ill make a sword in a couple minutes to match it edit: it looks better when its scaled down. but that is the size of the png pineapple. edit: dang. it looks terrible full size. ill tweak it to fix the look and remove the bg edit hopefully that is a better version

plenty of cheap tricks. cant remember them all. but an easy one is to kill the explorer.exe. doesnt help much but if your just on the edge of being playable and not then it could put you over the edge. it did for me when i used to play WoW

the armor isnt available for use outside of hak5 but ill see if i can make the little guy a set or 2 of armor and post the files

im fairly sure its the locked screen. although its identical to the login screen i get when i start up vista. i just want to extend the time or preferably remove it so i can play on an emulator.
