  1. I gotta say that the alfa 7dbi panel antenna is a nice antenna. 10 minute scan soaks up the landscape. Gonna have to give it a 6/10 in SSID discovery but who needs that anyways with a healthy list of BSSIDS and macs? It's directional. but it is also kinda omnidirectional-ish (really?jk) just enough that if you use it on wlan2 for client mode plus scanning, you can still move it around without significant loss of client mode signal. Anddddddddd...... Fits on the tactical. If clipped on a belt, the radios fan out. It's super futuristic.
  2. I have noticed that the unit passes on a charge even if the device itself is powered off. If you think about, the electricity is still present through the why cable, through the adapter. Did the current stop just because the pineapple wastold to be off? Therefore it has to be that the current is just passing through while the circuit board is itself in a 0ff state. But let's stick a fork in it to be sure...
  3. 8.8.8.8 doesn't matter. All that matters is its legit. And following instructions is for girly mans.
  4. I think this has happened everytime I update host name while using management ap. Which is most of the time. I did not have this problem with the connector app. I also went to look at network configuration for client mode and the ip, ssid, disappeared. It would not refresh. But upon reboot everything is fine.
  5. I think that when you hit update hostname, it should recommend a reboot because if you don't it'll mess with wlan2
  6. Mine made me lunch. Some of them come licensed as a bartender. But that was the ultimate package, I could only afford the tactical.
  7. I have had that happen and there was an issue with a third party USB adapter that would cause the pineapple to hang. After removing it ran 20 hours did everything after that well.
  8. I've had this problem too. Funny thing is...I did get it to work for a little bit. I have no clue so I use wlan2 or android to connect works well.
  9. I'm using windows 10, not the greatest best of the best hardware. It's best run as a thin laptop. So yeah I can get to the device through 172.16.42.1:1471 Must be my host. But why?....still a mystery.
  10. Ok. So...let me dig into the dusty old reference for wireless theory here. Let's see... So you got your pineapple. Now I'm gonna lean to user error but let's rule that out. Press the reset button for like 7 seconds, me I hold it for 30 but 7 seems to be the magic number. This will factory reset the device. I recommend to set up using the WiFi pineapple connector app and the data cable for your android device. Not the one that comes with the pineapple, you will be dissapointed trying to get data through that sucker. It is only for charging the pineapple juice. The reason I recommend to do this on android, is reliability. I believe this method to be the most reliable for initial setup. From my experiences. Also my android seems to provide the fastest Internet, your personal results will differ based on what you got for tech. So next on the hard factory reset, get connected and quickly tap the reset button to disable the radio. Notice the use of word quickly, not to be mistaken with any other meaning. If you dont do this quickly, I have noticed a decrease in sensitivity in recon mode in some cases. Next you should be good, you know the drill passwords and management ap. Now a word with you on deauth. Deauth is kitschy. You need to be close to the access point. I assume you are trying to bump a client to your device. Well there are other methods, tracking would help. Also expanding upon your ssid, pool also will help. Deauth is great but if your just gonna bump the client and there is no method employed for that client device to connect to the rogue ap over the real ap, it wont work. But I can only imagine was a great song, it just doesn't give the details of your issue.
  11. I wanted to get my pineapple to use my laptops Internet connection and followed the instructions. It was tricky to get working but I set the default 172.16.42.42, 255.255.255.0 as subnet and 8.8.8.8 for dns. It worked. For 10 minutes. Then by some miraculous calamity, stopped passing the Internet to my pineapple in the middle of downloading occupineapple. To this moment my pineapple still won't get Internet from my laptop even with the settings that worked for 10 minutes. Mind you I changed nothing. Anyone else have this problem?
  12. I also have this problem with sslstrip and a couple other modules. Been ongoing for qeeks.
  13. You will always have lower bandwidth on thee pineapple. Especially if you are running pineAP functions. I recommend a good wlan2 dongle and start getting familiar with client mode. When connected through wlan2 is the case browsing is great. I even have a range extender that improves the connection consistency at medium range. When I'm connected the difference between my router and the pineapple isn't noticeable. Some modules will hang. You need to read the documentation on those. Some have special requirements or do not work with others. Also many modules are hot off the press and may have some issues. The more description you can provide on what went wrong might be useful. But start with reading the documentation to find what the pineapple can do. It definitely can't do at once but it can do 1 or 2 tasks really well. The answer maybe to figure out how to offload part of what you want to do the the host machine.
  14. Thanks for the input. I'm thinking my pinapple was underpowered from a wall plug. I added a USB range extender for the wlan2 dongle. I'm betting my plug didn't have quite enough power to do all it was asked. Even though I factory reset, plugging into my USB y cable from PC seemed to do the trick.
  15. Last night I booted up the nano fine and did an ap/client scan for 1 minute on continuous. It produced great results. Then after trying to deauth a client on my network to the pineapple. Ap/client scan stopped producing data. Only AP scan works. I had two tabs running. One for recon. Another was to set settings for PineAP. Now I've factory reset. Twice. And still the same problem. Is this something that a manual flashing would fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  18. Hey everyone, Last September I started to build a balsa drone. The idea was to get a reliable drone that could do fixed flight and long range. Well unfortunately I fell short of that goal on the design I'm sharing today. Although this is a twin engine electric, my best estimate for max flight time with this is about 40 minutes. Havoc Drone - Body, Frame, Wings, Nacelles - Pre-assembly My work space is a mess. However the leading edge on the left wing is nearly finished. It required hours of hand sanding so far and there still is the right wing left to taper. Once fashioned the nacelles will nest each of the dual esc and motors; 1450kv, 14.5amp max draw. Havoc Drone - Fuselage - Pre-top/bottom/sides Almost hard to make out due to my under-par camera work here. But the fuselage is visible. This is where the batteries will be laid on top of the floor panels. I've yet to determine what exact battery will be used here. But it will need to be efficient and create the center weight. Then a pixhawk should fit in perfectly the two inch gap, hopefully without much modification. There will be two servos and this will not be using any ailerons. Flight will be two dimensional and the wings are meant to glide to some degree. It will be interesting to test the airframe soon. There will be a small camera in the front for fpv and one below controlled by the pixhawk. Due to weight and energy these will not have gimbal mounts. Havoc Drone - Wing - Pre-Finish It took 8 hours to near this wing to completion. In the end it will look like the first picture of the A-20G Havoc design it is modeled after some modifications. In the end, I have a second drone that is hybrid/glider that with a little effort can be made to host swappable payloads. But I won't be able to have the resources to complete that project until mid next year. Both drones are being filmed and I'm trying to create a documentary about some of the future possibilities drone use has for everyday uses and commercial applications. Edit: Looking for ways to communicate PixHawk to WiFi Pineapple Nano. Either as apossible payload for Havoc or Gemini Build based on Bearospace Industries Gemini V2. I've thought maybe a raspberry pi might do the trick. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  19. Right know I use WiFi tracker for android. Which does ok. The drawbacks are strength. You can't pick up past the first row of buildings, what I do get is somewhat scattered on accuracy. But it does put things on a map and give a ballpark plus it exports to csv, probably my favorite feature. The drawback is that it's awfully demanding on even the snappiest arm systems. I had logged 5400 aps, just driving around and it took 5 minutes to load. So the gui was useful on a small scale, cumbersome on a large scale. So I guess if I had to boil down what feature would be most important on for pineapple handling of this task would be the ability of export to csv. Ideally, Maybe there is a way that a set of data can be narrowed down and displayed in gui on the host machine. The pineapple I guess would struggle to do all the mapping itself but if it could pass some of that work off to host to do that might be a beautiful thing.
  20. Does anyone notice more scan results when wlan2 is connected? I'm getting 30% more APs.

    Drones.

Hey will do. Still polishing up my first dual engine plane.

    Drones.

I am making a long range uav capable of 35,000 at and 20lbs payloads. Also a smaller 3ft wingspan mapping drone. Both fixed wing.
