Errrm the dump? Car boot sales and skips are your best bet, car boots you can get old machines for literally a few quid and look in industrial/business estates i live a few miles from one i bike past it on the way to school. There is pritty much always a few desent bit in them.

Most Alienware PC's are very good powerful things, although you they do charge a premiun for there name. I surggest building your own if you want a gaming machine, you get exacly want you want and its userally cheaper which is always a good thing. If you have the money though and dont want to build one, to have alienware machine always sounds good, lol.

Check out resource haker its ok for changing some .exe (you can change pictures ect.) If you dont read www.digg.com start and keep upto date with general tech ect. If its hardware hacking you want youve got to learn to soldier (if you dont your kinder screwed) use google and wikipedia ALOT. And most importantly start small and work up to bigger projects you dont want to try and hack something expensive then much it up.
