  1. So we are looking at a custom board then!
  2. I use a manual method to get people to connect, I look through my karma probe list and manually change the network name from the pineapples interface, this lends itself to been a more direct attack and targeted towards the device/s you are authorised to be assessing. Leaving Karma on will yield a few auto-connects but devices update and become more secure, which is both a good and a bad thing depending on your stance. I don't know what money goes where, but I would take a good guess that a lot of money goes back into the Hak5 episodes/ Recording Equipment and I can't imagine any of the pineapple development team get as much profit as they deserve, alongside any day jobs they must be very busy people, and I am grateful for their contribution to this project, personally I wouldn't know where to start with building openWRT. creating a very intuitive PHP interface and patching software packages.
  3. That would be cool, opens up options for extra tools that would otherwise be underpowered on the mk4, personally I would like to see BeEF but its quite resource intensive.
  4. Think you can add eth1 to the lan bridge and remove its entry for wan in the /etc/config/network file, its on the openwrt wiki somewhere.
  5. The only other board I can find that looks remotely close is a fox board, boots openwrt but looks like they all have dual USB, which the mk5 doesn't.
  6. I don't think we should rule out the mk4 as if its end of life, I know I will still be using my mk4 where its needed.
  7. Its part of the umbrella company Orient Power Holdings Ltd, can only find mention of a set-top box, no routers!
  8. How far are you with you UI port? I would be interested, although my PHP skills are very limited.
  9. Can anyone recognise the hardware at all? Its a long shot - I guess its a custom board.
  10. It looks like something mikrotik would sell, scoured the Alfa networks site but can't see anything that looks remotely like it, unless they are using a soc board with a custom case. Edit: spelling
  11. Looking at the box it mentions expandable module support - I think this is a custom box with a mini pci-something connector, I don't think this would mean software modules - we've had those for ages. http://imgur.com/oGRgILn
  12. I would just flash the to stock openWRT and go from there, pineapple firmware has custom configurations Edit: try here http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/alfa.network/hornet-ub
  13. I think your need to elaborate on this, what happens if you SSH into the pineapple as the root user? Screenshot if needed, this doesn't seem to be a previous mentioned issue as far as I know.
  14. Are these just for general internet or specifically for the features of the pineapple? I'd guess you would be better using a router that supports openWRT and turn them into 'dumb' access points so the DSL routers control the address range, your double NAT'ing in your current setup and this would seem pointless
  15. Try: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward Sorry for the lack of a code box - on my phone Edit: reboot and try without sslstrips iptable rules too
  16. Reflash and see if that helps, low signal may be due to hardware issue that generated a large discussion in these forums. Failing that go back to 2.8.1, 3.0.0 is a new release and will have some bugs which I'm sure the pineapple team will fix when they have the time!
  17. You just need to use iptables to forward traffic, no need to bridge them. The sslstrip rules should stay intact as they don't conflict. Have a look at the android tethering rules for the WiFi pineapple and modify them for your setup
  18. My config file was very easy:http://db.tt/SEQYW2z9 You will need to edit it to remove some extra stuff!
  19. Think telot is your best bet, I used the dhcp3-server package when I did my version of this, so not sure what is wrong!
  20. I'm assuming you have already set up a dhcp server to issue IP addresses too? Edit: dnsmasq is installed- just read it properly, my bad!
  21. Are you using a powered USB hub? The Alfa always drew too much power when I started hostapd and failed to function properly
  22. Redownload the 3.0.0 firmware, check its md5sum matches and reflash your pineapple
