  1. I followed the steps outlined above and the pineapple can access the internet but the wireless clients can't. My router has the same IP as the original post 192.168.0.1. In the details i see the line "option dest_ip 192.168.2.0/24". How does that work with the router at 192.168.0.1? Any ideas why this isnt working?
  2. Same results for me. Thanks for posting your config BTW. Darren the errors looks like. 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.warn kernel: [ 88.190000] usbserial_generic: probe of 1-1.2:1.9 failed with error -5 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.warn kernel: [ 88.180000] usbserial_generic: probe of 1-1.2:1.8 failed with error -5 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.warn kernel: [ 88.150000] usbserial_generic: probe of 1-1.2:1.3 failed with error -5 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.warn kernel: [ 88.130000] usbserial_generic: probe of 1-1.2:1.1 failed with error -5 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.warn kernel: [ 88.110000] usbserial_generic: probe of 1-1.2:1.0 failed with error -5 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.210000] usbserial: USB Serial Driver core 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.200000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial_generic 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.170000] usb 1-1.2: generic converter now attached to ttyUSB1 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.160000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.4: generic converter detected 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.140000] usb 1-1.2: generic converter now attached to ttyUSB0 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.130000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.2: generic converter detected 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.100000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.100000] USB Serial support registered for generic 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.060000] usbcore: deregistering interface driver usbserial 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.060000] USB Serial deregistering driver generic 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.050000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.2: device disconnected 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.040000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.4: device disconnected 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.040000] generic ttyUSB0: generic converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.030000] usbcore: deregistering interface driver usbserial_generic 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 88.030000] generic ttyUSB1: generic converter now disconnected from ttyUSB1 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 88.190000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.9: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 88.170000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.8: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 88.150000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.3: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 88.120000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.1: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 00:01:28 Pineapple kern.err kernel: [ 88.100000] usbserial_generic 1-1.2:1.0: Generic device with no bulk out, not allowed. 00:01:27 Pineapple user.notice usb-modeswitch: 1-1.2:1.8: Manufacturer=T-Mobile Product=T-Mobile_Rocket_4G_prepaid Serial=31D633487060B7D030914AD11CF5D04900FD2BD0 00:01:27 Pineapple user.notice usb-modeswitch: 1-1
  3. Thanks for the explanation, Darren! Looking forward to the update. :)
  4. I was able to get this to work with the mark 4 3g.sh script located here https://github.com/WiFiPineapple/web-interface/blob/master/3g/3g.sh Also I had to change fstab because the sd card in the 3g stick was causing issues with /sd mount of on board micro sd. I have still been unable to get the web ui to dial the 3g connection
  5. Any idea whats causing this and when the fix is coming?
  6. I changed my setting to look like yours but still no luck. When hitting redial the green light doesnt even flash like its connecting. Here is all i see in dmesg output around that time: [ 8285.610000] usbcore: deregistering interface driver usbserial_generic [ 8285.610000] USB Serial deregistering driver generic [ 8285.620000] usbcore: deregistering interface driver usbserial [ 8285.660000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial [ 8285.670000] USB Serial support registered for generic [ 8285.670000] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbserial_generic [ 8285.680000] usbserial: USB Serial Driver core And here is /etc/config/network for wan2: config interface 'wan2' option ifname 'ppp0' option proto '3g' option service 'umts' option device '/dev/ttyUSB0' option apn 'epc.tmobile.com' option username 'internet' option password 'internet' option defaultroute '1' option ppp_redial '1' option peerdns '1' option dns ' ' option keepalive '1' option pppd_options ' '
  7. Is anyone using the T-Mobile Rocket with the MKV successfully? If so can you please post your mobile config page from Network > Mobile Broadband tab?
  8. I never had a GUI working on mine.. I ended up writing the sslsrtip log to /var/www with a date & time variable ..... and outputting ifconfig and ping google.com to a file call ifconfig.txt after the 3g connected so i could look there for an ip and if its working
  9. Thanks for your responses. Unfortunatly my pineapple still has terrible range. I dont know if i should order another or keep using my raspberry pi.. Only thing is the pi lacks the web interface.
  10. After reading those posts i got this working by disabling them both in fstab and making my /etc/rc.local look like this.. wifi hostapd_cli -p /var/run/hostapd-phy0 karma_disable #Don't touch anything above this line #Add your commands above this /pineapple/3g/3g.sh sleep 15 mount /dev/sda1 /usb swapon /dev/sda2 exit 0
  11. I tired "sleep 25" and still got the same result :( I'm not sure what else to do other than to leave swap off.
  12. With sleep 15 it looks like below. and i see this in the log : 14:54:03 Pineapple kern.alert kernel: [ 176.440000] Write-error on swap-device (8:0:8) Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted onrootfs 1.0M 232.0K 792.0K 23% //dev/root 5.0M 5.0M 0 100% /romtmpfs 14.3M 116.0K 14.2M 1% /tmptmpfs 512.0K 0 512.0K 0% /dev/dev/mtdblock3 1.0M 232.0K 792.0K 23% /overlayoverlayfs:/overlay 1.0M 232.0K 792.0K 23% //dev/sdb1 12.8G 328.8M 11.9G 3% /mnt/sdb1
  13. I guess I should have mentioned this before. I read that post and tried that with the same results. I'm using a 16GB class 2 sd card so maybe its slow and needs a longer sleep. I will try that now. Also here is my fstab: config global automount option from_fstab 1 option anon_mount 1 config global autoswap option from_fstab 1 option anon_swap 0 config mount option target /usb option device /dev/sda1 option fstype ext4 option options rw,sync option enabled 1 option enabled_fsck 0 config swap option device /dev/sda2 option enabled 1
  14. When I try to use the swap partition on the SD card in the MF591 the data partition gets mounted as /mnt/sdb1 but when sawp is set to 0 it mounts the data partition as /mnt/sda1. The same with the swap its either sda2(swap off) or sdb2(swap on). Has anyone been successful getting the SD card in the MF591 working with data and swap partitions?
