Maybe there is a better way of greeting the 70-80% of people who us the internet? I mean your asking them to download and install software before they can even find out if your sites worth visiting. Its a nobel idea but the vast majority of "n00bs" who visit your site aren't going to do anything more than click close. But try it, and see what the numbers are like. Personally I hate IE6 but at the end of the day you do have to design for it, because thats what most people use. Maybe have that page, but allow them to click threw it to your content? That covers people who for what ever reason cannot use Firefox. ps. Music on web pages = BAD (imo)

Not entirely sure what your after, but if you've trying to use an image which was created with different hardware, it probally won't work to well. Best off just to reinstall windows on the new hardware and create an image from that.

Sounds good, what cameras are you using? All my digital kit is kinda cheap (Nikon D70 is the best i have :-( ) and get noise issues with the CCD's at long exposures.

I wouldn't mind helping out with something like this, only problem is i'm 6000 miles away. You could use something like panotools to slightly automate the process, but you'd still have to fix a few bits by hand to make it perfect. Biggest panorama i've done was made from 50 seperate images, loads of automation and about 2 weeks of photoshoping.

I was wondering about some kinda automated ARP cache posioning thing that would allow me to manipulate traffic to an extent. So if it detected a massive slowdown on the WAN, google.co.uk would suddenly be redirected to a "please correct your torrenting abuse" page on a local apache box.

Tried with the Azureus remote interface, but for any number of dumb reasons it didn't take off. I loved it, BT from work or uni. At the end of the day I can't force people to use it. I love the idea! Its such a good concept. While the keyboard and mouse is a great tool, it is still quite limiting.
