  1. you can configure vlans in your wireless router settings depending on the router and or firmware
  2. most blackberries have bluetooth DUN feature, so tether it to your computer and ICS it like sparda said. unfortunatly blackberries dont have all the connection features that some windows mobile phones have. i can even set my HTC touch HD up as a wireless AP and capture all the traffic going through with airscanner mobile sniffer, it even captures data over the phones usb, or bluetooth connections. it makes a nice little pwn router.
  3. look into the attrib commands. you can even hide files that administrator accounts wont be ble to see.
  4. it might not without the actual cartridge in the slot. you should be able to change the print settings in the printer properties by right clicking on it. every printer is different so youll have to look around the settings and see what options are available to you.
  5. did you try running in command line safe mode and doing a fixboot?
  6. oh shit i lol @ that post. well done h3%5kr3w. i think you pretty much covered it. I mean i cant really see myself buying a console whose best games consist of fuckin wii-fit, wack-a-mole, mario tenis, and shit like that. I mean really the whole wii-motion thingy or whatever its called was cool at first but i really dont see it going anywhere from here. it's like when i see computer systems like the HP touchsmart, as cool as it looks to sit arms length from a 22" monitor and touch shit, I could do the same shit with a mouse (probably faster and with greater ease) and not have to sit 2 feet from the screen. i'm one of those people that likes to kick back in a nice comfortable chair or couch and game in comfort, not jumping around the living room like an idiot smacking people that walk by with a wii-remote. the whole wii motion thingy is gimicky, and i wouldnt expect any self respecting gamer would shell out 250 bucks for an inferior console. I like having media streaming options, dvd/cd playback options, blueray playback options, netflix streaming capability, 1080p games (i mean after all you cant even buy a new TV that isnt HD) and media playback. basically the wii is a complete failure, i dont give a shit how many 8 year olds and middle age parents go out and buy them, as far as a complete full featured gamer console it fails hard.
  7. thats sort of an odd resolution for an HDTV. most hd tv's i've seen have a native resolution of 1366x768 or 1920x1080 for 1080p sets.
  8. go ahead and delete it you can always restore it later.
  9. No you're right, sometimes I get a little worked up about certain things, I apologize if i offended anyone. I have since edited my post. and yes i may have gone a little off topic bringing other consoles into the discussion, but that was to demonstrate the types of things that console makers do that really tick me off. and to answer your question yes i do use the dvd functionality of my xbox 360's. not in my main media room because i have a media center pc that handles that, and yes i do like to pull out some old classics such as Perfect Dark and goldeneye when freinds come over. but yeah this has sorta gone off topic and i sorta highjacked the thread with my rants, but it appears other people feel the same way, maybe i just get too roid rage on my rants.
  10. no what he means is that its not real until the OS recognizes it. so it wont register on the boot menu as a CD drive.
  11. you bring up another good point about the nintendo (i edited out offensive content). why not integrate the ability to play dvds, or even cd's in the goddamn thing? i mean shit sony did it on their first gen PS, MS did it on the first gen xbox. wtf is nintendos problem. also what i hate about nintendo is the inability to play previous gen games on a current console, why is it that i can play my first gen PS games on my PS3 but i cant on a faggot ass wii? why is it that nintendo has to change up tha goddamn controller configuration on each console it releases but im still using the same familiar button config on my PS3 and my xbox? wtf is nintendos problem? bottom line is nintendo plays bullshit games with consumers. I know the fanboys dont want to hear it and i know the other companies play games too like sony and their goddamn memory sticks and shit like that but thats still no comparison to the (i edited out offensive content) ass shit that nintendo is up to. and belive me i used to be a hard core and i mean HARDCORE nintendo fan when the 64 was out. but really the N64 was the last thing nintendo did right. I will never ever buy a nintendo product again.
  12. man this thred really is full of fail. anyways, what type of wireless card does the laptop use? theres a few options available to you. i would focus on the laptops wireless rather than the AP. it really depends on how much money yo uwant to spend. i have a couple of these for one of my wireless AP's http://www.wlanparts.com/product/24A500A-T...4A500AT9GM.html depending on your laptops wireless card you have a few different options of antenna configs. internal wireless cards such as mini pci, mini pci-x and half mini cards will have a U.fl connection not an N connection. you can find lots of U.fl to sma, rp-sm, etc so that you can connect an external antenna or antennas to your internal laptop card. i have a few of these i made myself but if youre not too handy with a soldering iron and don know about different bnc connectors etc etc you can pick these up for about 8-9 bucks online all over teh place. get a good high gain omni antenna that will let you move around without having to point your directional antenna at the source. but a little more info on the exact configuration would be helpful.

  14. brings new meaning to the phrase "phone sex"
  15. better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

    Woundering

just use commview for wifi. problem solved.
  18. ok so a couple of things. first if youre only trying to monitor traffic on the wlan that youre associated with then you dont need to use your network card in monitor mode. you should be able to use any arp spoofing tool to redirect traffic to youre adapter. i use promiswitch in windows for scanning and spoofing arp with netresident for reconstructing network traffic. so depending on what network traffic youre trying to see and how youre connected or not connected will decide if you need to use promiscuous mode, monitor mode, non-promiscuous mode, arp spoofing, port mirroring etc etc. also heres a link to a couple of different atheros driver versions from wildpackets that i uploaded http://la.gg/v/atheros60413.zip http://la.gg/v/atheros4229.zip youll probably find the drivers for your card in the 6.0.413 version

    Vista guidance

yeah im going to agree with VaKo. vista is just fine, especially when youre using an oem version with all the correct hardware drivers and configurations.
  20. i use a few things depending on the mood and what im doing. Elcomsoft password recovery bundle which is a full suite of different tools including the Elcomsoft wireless security auditor, Commview for wifi with voip add on and WPAKR and WEPKR (from tamosoft), essential nettools (tamosoft), netresident (tamosoft), network magic pro (cisco), NetTools 5, promiswitch (tamosoft), Aircrack-ng VM, TransRT73 VM, Netstumbler, Wifi hopper. Those are pretty much the main ones i use mostly. then for my windows mobile phone i have airscanner mobile security suite, which can run sec audits on any network interface your mobile device has including bluetooth and usb connections, wifi fo fum, mochasoft telnet/ssh client, and mochasoft vnc viewer. also forgot to mention Cain.
  21. Its really gonna depend on the type of monitor, for example LED backlit or the traditional flourecent backlighting, and it will depend on what you mean by broken.
  22. i have a couple of these that i picked up at walmart for less than 15 bucks. http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-CPI20XB...QCR9KHNXMPYAES7 i got them for powering the wireless receiver for one of my wireless 2.4ghz RC cam cars theyve got a regular two prong power outlet and a usb port. you can get the 10 watt ones even cheaper i think for around 7-8 bucks or so too.
  23. well now see this is exactly my point. nintendo is quite capable of making a device as good or better than things like the psp, but instead of doing it right the first time they like to string people along and add a new feature every 6 months so everyone will want to run out and get the new one. i mean shit sega gamegear had a backlit color lcd screen yeaaaars ago. I'm trying to figure out what the fuck took nintendo so long to add simple shit like an sd card slot and mp3 playback. by the time youre done buying all the different versions of the DS, DS lite, DS lite 2, DS lite lite, ds super lite, DS superduperlite with wifi, DS ultra light with cam and mp3, DS menthol lite, etc etc you've spend enough to buy a nice laptop.
  24. you might be thinking of ndis wrapper. that will kinda let you use windows drivers in linux for your wireless card.
  25. yes there are some good windows wireless apps that will make your life a little bit easier like dingleberries said. what youll want to do first instead of looking for madwifi drivers, look at the wildpackets drivers. theres three versions for atheros chipsets. your chipset is very new still from atheros so you'll probably find what youre looking for in the v6.0.4.13 atheros driver pack. if not then you may need to install a different card driver from wild packets, maybe one of the ar5008 drivers will work. you might have to tinker around with different wildpackets drivers till you find the one that will work with your chipset if the v6.0.4.13 pack dosnt already include one for your Atheros AR9281. for example i have an AR5006x chipset card but when im using it with commview for wifi i have to install the 5007eg driver or else it bluescreens.
