  1. if its OEM (original equipment manufacturer) it means its been de-boxed, and is supos to be straight from the manufacturer, therefore they have taken out the middle man who packs the product and places it in its nice little box that gets killed coz of the stupid sticky tape crap they use to seal them ^_^, thefore you pay less for the product but only get the card, software and manules in a static bag. ie. how most ppl recive there HDD's, unless its a Maxtor <_<

edit: ooops lol forgot, im all for the X-Fi music, through to be honest ive never realy though about gaming sound :S my onboard have always been sefish.

  2. this can easly be done by the use of Wifi-fo-fum (spelt wrong i think) its a GPS / WiFi Application for Pocket PC, ive used it a few times on my PDA, and have been able to determin by about 5-10m the wareabouts of a user on a network, about 2-3meters for an access point, and 1-5m for an Ad-hoc user.

  3. Stupid Computer things I have done.

I bought a $700 piece of paper from eBay (Thought I was buying a laptop. READ THE FINE PRINT)

*Remebers finding a PS3 box on ebay selling at $1.5k*

  4. telnet is so early XP release.

try a bit earlier, say 1969. and though its unsecure doesnt mean its not a useful tool for diagnostics

sorry i was meaning thats when it died out

  5. ok im not a hacker our an auditor but more of a programer so i can quite easly have this wrong, but i dont think u can connect onto a port thats not running a telnet service behind it, connecting to a random open port isnt gonna work with just telent, u need to know which protocol the post is running with.

so if im correct, then the port u will be looking for is 23. if the server has no port 23 open then either they are running telnet on a different port, or are smart enough to use SSH (port 23 default). All new linux Major Distro's (well from like FC2) are using SSH and not telnet, telnet is so early XP release.

  6. ive heard there is problems with using ports other than 80 when using a free urls. Also i was unable to see ur site all together (could be coz ur off lol) but try FTP'ing to the IP address not the url.

  7. With SP2 i have found it common for Lsass to crash and fale when attempting an attack on it, If lsass fails whilst in the attack, then the LM's will not be withdrawed from it.

Please note this is not a problem with Switchblade though, it is more to do with PwDump, it has issues ^_^ ive found that 'Cain' is a lot less likely to crash the Lsass (which is odd when early cain was based on PwDump).

  8. most Wlan devices wont work with backtrack, this is caused by Linux in general not really having a wide range of drivers for them.

If u are new to linux, and want your Wlan to work, most times it is suggested to go with Ubunto, since it is Driver friendly.

  9. so is wardriving any fun like?

If ur outta bandwidth then yea it can be fun, or if u wanna just over all steal ppls connections then it is, also alows you to hack into ppls homes easyer, pretty much puts ur PC on there network so...

Wardriving is the start to most random physical attacks.

  10. hmm if its only damage, then u can install over, though if the Virus / Spyware are still intact, well yea reinfection. Though only problem with install over is if there running SP2 (or 1 for that matter :P) then u will need to use a XPSP2 disk or a XP Slipstream, though in the past i have had troubs with these not correctly re-installing the visual styles :S
