    Pineapple

You can add one to the cart and try to check out, they'll tell you if they are out of stock or not.
  2. It also came with an AC adapter, I've been using that when I play around with it.
  3. Apparently, I had to change some stuff on the DHCP server on the Pineapple. I changed the "Router" setting to point to the NIC that was shared, but right now, it's using that as the DHCP server, not the DHCP server on the pineapple. I have internet access, but it's not exactly what I want.
  4. Thanks for the info digip! I didn't know that. Interesting info too, Sparda.
  5. The only thing I can think of is a Lattitude.
  6. Could you do 1920x1200? That way it'll work with all 16:10 monitors.
  7. You can set it to connect automatically if it has a different SSID. You can manage which connections that the machine remembers from: Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks.
  8. That is pure win! I wonder if it's possible to do an overlay of that over a normal wallpaper..
  9. I followed the guide on the wiki (yay it's back up!). Everything went smoothly, but I cannot access the internet from a machine connected to the pineapple. (I manually associated with it, since my router has a stronger signal.) I can access the pineapple's web interface. Anyway: The host that is running ISC is a machine running XP SP3. Right now I've got an Alfa AWUS036NH set up as the "Atheros" in the tutorial and an Alfa AWUS036 set up as the "Alfa." Alfa is shared per the tutorial with the following (associated with my AP): IP: 192.168.1.30 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS: 192.168.1.1 I can access the internet from that machine. Atheros is set like so: IP: 192.168.0.1 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: None DNS: 8.8.8.8 DNS: 8.8.4.4 Atheros is connect to the pineapple. The pineapple is set like so: SSID: Pineapple IP: 192.168.0.250 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: None DNS: None If I do an ipconfig /all on a machine (my netbook connected wirelessly) I get this: IP: 192.168.0.147 Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.0.250 DNS: 192.168.0.250 Did I miss a step somewhere or is it because the stuff on the wiki is a bit dated? Thanks.
  10. It's not falling on my deaf ears. You are definitely right. I gave my suggestion, even if the software is total shit. Google ftw.
  11. digip is correct. I'm sure there are better ways to find the information you seek. I use HEAT at work, but it's a horrid piece of shit and I doubt it would be up to government standards.
  12. I get "upload failed" whenever I try to upload attachments. No big deal tho, since I just use photobucket or imageshack.
  13. I do backups on external HDDs at home. I have a daily backup that is always hooked up to the machine and a monthly backup that is stored in a fire safe. The company I work for uses 8mm tapes (i think) for the daily and weekly backups. I don't think they have that much to backup, since all they do backup is the AS/400. I don't think any user data is backed up (way to go company!)
  14. True, perhaps, but how many laptops have built in GPS? This would probably work.
  15. That is total overkill. 3-way SLI with a 500 dollar card? Waste of money imo. It must run it pretty bad. =/
  16. It's mostly try it and see. Check the gigantor thread here: http://www.hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13842
