Sparda
Yep it was/is real, don't put your email address on web pages and stop using any of AOL products/services.
c00ldogie
ok sorry for putting my e-mailĀ :( if there is a mod can you like change the post so my e-mail isn't on there.Ā thanks :-D
Sparda
It's particularly bad because ISP based email services usually are rubbish at catching spam. If it where a gmail address it wouldn't be too much of a worry.
c00ldogie
why should i get rid of all AOL products/Services?
Sparda
They are very well known for rubbish service (hence AOHell). Also, now you are locked in to there services. All ISP based email is a bad idea, as soon as you want to change ISP you are likly to lose your email address and suddenly all the people who know your email address don't. Hence services such as Hotmail, GMail and Yahoo mail are better (although I would avoid Hotmail and Yahoo like the plague my self) in that respect. c00ldogie
SO, YOU ARE SAYING FOR ME TO GET A G-MAIL E-MAIL ADDRESS?
Sparda
It would be better then relying on your ISP.

deleted
I don't think you would loose the address as you can sign up for free aol addresses (who would though). I agree and recommend GMail. P.S. How long until an Admin disables the Marque Tag.

unasoto
why should i get rid of all AOL products/Services? I had heard years that AOhell had given the admin account to the FBI to prevent the feds from holding them accountable for anything the users do ie kiddy porn and scriptkiddy's. they can do whatever they want read your e-mails, chats, track your searches and stuff.
