Noted. I wonder if it is a new change by Pandora.

It should be changing for each song, usually changes about one sec or so after pandora switches... I wonder if i might've messed something up in the JS. Hrm.

BTW - can you try the web-interface for me? I've added support for downloading files via that, too. Open http://127.0.0.1:8888/#PS in your browser, and as songs are added, refresh it. near the very bottom there should be a list of queued songs, with "Download" next to them. It *should* work, but having someone else test it would make me feel better.

Then feel good ^_^.

The page works well. Refreshing after PS logs a new URL match, the songs pending and new song matched display properly with their DL links. Clicking the link makes it disappear and the dl commenced fine. # ripped songs updates on refresh.

Links on top to config/log/stats seem to be working fine too ^.^

The only thing I notice is that for my screen name, in describing my QuickMix, the status report added a 5 at the end, making it "thegooman75's QuickMix" instead of "thegooman7's."

Edit, oh, yeah, new one has an advanced config where you can directly edit keys on sproxy's config screen. Don't mess with it unless you know what you are doing. Also, almost all the keys are expected to be strongly typed but as strings are backing this that can't be enforced with the editor. In short, don't put a two where a one or zero belongs or put hello world where a number belongs, etc. Mess with at own risk.

Blacklist didn't hose SProxy this time, but I noticed (maybe it was the same before?), that I have to config to use Blacklist then close settings, then reopen settings and click on load blacklist otherwise if you do it the first time it doesn't seem like it really loads the list. SProxy Mini is running fine (going on 20 minutes now). I looked at the log - I'm thinking you don't need to list the entire blacklist (I didn't look good but did it list all 7.5k songs???). I didn't see anything about being able to download - but then I am ripping on the fly so may not apply.

Yep - got your PM thanks. Your explanation gave me a pretty good concept of scripting. I am not sure how I can change the destination where the file goes yet, but gonna see if I can find a PhP language book cuz it looks like fun! I'll just send you another donation cuz if you're like me, I'm trying to stay away from McD's cuz I'm trying to watch my figure lol! BTW DYK a big breakfast is like 1.1k calories? Dayam...

Mmm, yup, it listed all 7.5k patterns. I probably ought to move that to another page, hehe. If blacklist has just been enabled, on closing settings it will load them. You should see a progress bar that scroll constantly (like the one on the startup screen does) while it is loading patterns. The download thing is only for those who want to apply songs instead of indescriminately ripping, so it won't show up otherwise. Much like the song viewer is also disabled.

Jeez. That's like half a day's worth of calories. Muchus thanks, tho. BTW, to change where the picture is saved, look at this line:

  imagepng($bg,"./image.png"); // save to disk

Change "./image.png" to the path you want to save it under. Keep in mind, if you use a path like

"C:\Program Files\Etc" you need to escape the slashes, ending up with "C:\\Program Files\\Etc". Otherwise, bad things happen.

I wrote the advanced config thing when i was only semilucid from lack of sleep, so i just wanted to put the disclaimer out there cos bad things could happen if edited wrong. It beats having to edit the config file by hand, though... (@#% xml formats...)

Well, the song fader! That's perfectly what I was looking for. I have it set to show stuff that gets ripped. It hardly does it now lol (I'm still weeding through all the download I have so far!). It's great and fits perfectly where the widget sits on the right side of the screen. You are so clever! <_<

Hurm, funky things are happening again.

I told PS to grab a song from a particular station of mine and it returned the same faad error as before.

It showed in the log that the encoder returned and exit code again. Then it gave me the same windows error for the next grab from that station, but without showing on the log or affecting the file save. To see if it was happening consistently on this station, I went to grab another song via the status page and got a page saying.

"400 Bad Request

Request Error

Your client sent a request that this server could not understand.

It did this about 3 or 4 times, so I tried to grab the song via song view and it did, but gave me the same windows error (save unaffected).

A later attempt to use the status page (for the same station) worked, but returned the same windows error still, and the encoder failed.

Also, maybe it just so happens, but the song I went to grab when it gave me the error initially was the same song as earlier when I reported the same trouble (?_?).

Wow lots of stuff going on here... Looks like firstly, the RPC is failing because there are colons in the request, but the bit that parses the request expects colons to only be used for port. I'll fix that shortly. It appears to be a bug in .net actually, colons need to be escaped but are not :|

Code is not detecting FAAD failures correctly, just took care of that.

It would also appear that some of the errors are possibly being caused by filename length and commandline length, try moving your pandora folder to something like C:/pandora or otherwise simple (man pandora loves long song titles for classical stuff).

Edit: Okay, uploaded a new version that should nolonger have errors when RPC'ing on names that have a colon in them. Same link.

Hmm, it seems you're right in path/commandline length being a factor. I changed my save path to D:\PS\Music and reattempted grabbing the song that's initiated these problems and, although I still received the windows error for FAAD, the data saved as it should, as some of the other files had been doing. I don't know if anything can be done about the issue of lengths, which may still be causing the windows error.

(btw, for these things you're taking care of, are you updating the download file for SPPS with the changes, such that it would be worth my redownloading it?)

Also, although the download button did work that one time for me and then didn't refresh, it has ceased to work again, only displaying a faded "Loading..." button from the onset.

I decided to run Pandora Mini for the first time today, and I realized the download button does work in Pandora Mini, but for some reason, still doesn't work when Pandora is run standard. o_0

I have 40MB .wav files for the songs, and a regular sized .mp3 files after using the built in converter. Is there a way to automatically delete the .wav files after the conversion, and what are these used for? Thanks for the great program.

Re-download it from the same link, and replace PandoraSaver.dll and PandoraSaver.pdb in your SProxy folder with the ones contained in the zip. Accidentally commented out a block of code - it will delete wavs properly now.

It should happen immediately after ripping is complete. Did you exit sproxy before trying to copy the files? I tested and confirmed it was working properly, so it sounds like it did not get updated properly.

Go to http://127.0.0.1:8888/config in your browser with sproxy running.

"PandoraSaver_BuildDate" should be Mon, 23 Mar 2009 23:27:21 CST or newer.

If it isn't, clear your sproxy folder except for sproxy.conf and extract the contents of the zip again after re-downloading.

Yeah, trying to get a way to fix that. However, microsoft sodded up double buffering in vista so i can't set it to double buffer, as vista just freezes. How annoying.

Gee, fix one thing and something else breaks. Uploaded a fixed version, same link. URLDecoding was messing up a key being used for determining who done what. lol

What sort of settings are resetting themselves? Though, if you have had to kill SProxy with taskmgr that will prevent settings from being saved.

Settings are saved on program exit - if something prevents it from exiting properly, settings will not be saved. With the latest release settings were effectively cleared though as there was a change for how i handled settings, and so PS effectively lost all its settings, might be another reason why.

On another note, I saw someone earlier mention an issue with SProxy changing the proxy settings in Internet Options|Connections|Lan Settings. Now, I don't know what the issues where there, but when you are debugging some web apps using VS and IIS, this can cause issues with authentication to other servers. So, for what it's worth, there is a solution for those that need it. Actually 2 solutions. The first being just turn off Pandora/SProxy when debugging, but I don't like that one. Anyway, there is a checkbox on the LAN Settings page to "Bypass Proxy for local addresses." If you check that, you can do your debugging and let PandoraSaver do it's thing. Just an FYI to help those with this issue.

Also, thought not directly related to PS, is there some way I can have iTunes save the PS playlists when they are played? As in, so that they can be available to select from the iTunes left-side menu and have only that playlist play?

I'm not sure how to make itunes import a list as a playlist. Do note, playing AAC files saved from Pandora in itunes will cause degraded sound quality due to itunes not having proper support for SBR.
