  4. I hear the company called "Backup" is good :-)
  5. There are some OSX exploits in Metasploit, Exploit Tree, Milw0rm, and SecurityFocus archives, I think.
  6. You have to remember 90% of the people using computers arn't geeks, and Microsoft makes sure everything they need to do on a PC is easy, and not overly complicated. It's all about getting the task done in the least amount of time. Linux/Unix will never make it to the home users desktop aslong as Microsoft is creating easy to use home software. Linux/Unix is far from user friendly. You just have to remember most computer users arn't geeks, and Microsoft knows this, that is why Windows is so easy to use.
  7. /dev/hda means it is on the first IDE channel, /dev/hdb slave of the first channel I think, and so on
  8. You would edit the apps file, the specify where windows open, then use the startup file to choose what starts with fluxbox. I haven't tried. You should check out http://www.fluxbox-wiki.org it's were I learnt all the stuff I know about it. I back my ~/.fluxbox dir up, then tinker.
  9. Please watch the Church of Wifi presentation at Shmoocon.
  10. I would basically use the Hak.5 version as a testing platform for changes. Which is what I did for the Shmoocon version, (yes I made a nUbuntu just for mubix to give out at Shmoocon). I think I would like to try out Enlightenment on the release, I myself can't do the graphical things such as wallpaper, someone else would have to do this stuff. If people would like the idea, please message me on the forums, with your ideas.
  11. <3 Void11... speaking of Void11 I must make a deb package for nubuntu
  12. IMO Gnome and KDE are actually too bloated to use on LiveCDs and push the minimum requirements sky high. XFCE, Englightenment, or Fluxbox would be better choices. Also, I don't think Hak.5 has used enough "tools" on Linux to warrent a LiveCD based on the tools they have used. I could rebrand nUbuntu with some Hak.5 stuff. But my time is pressed with making the actual release. So I would only do it if people want it/would use it.
  13. It is possible in 10 minutes if it is a dictionary word for the key, the more complicated the key, the longer it'll take. I use WEP because noone in my area has the brains to crack it :)
