  1. I second that question. Came a bit late to this party, by the time I'd read up on it the old version was taken down.
  2. I tried this briefly after battling with the SCP command (gave up in the end and used a Windows VM to use WinSCP) and when browsing to the /uwui/index.php URL I just saw the main pineapple page without any CSS applied. Refreshed and tried again, same thing. Have got the required modules installed. Am I missing something else? Thanks! This really looks like it would be useful for me - a visual representation like that is easier to get your head around when you're starting out!
  3. There appear to be a couple of threads about this now - i'm not sure which is most up to date. Has there been any development in getting android SD card access from the pineapple? So you can use your phone for internet access and storage, without the need for a hub? Are people just rocking phones, hubs and USB sticks at the moment? Thanks!
  4. Digging up this thread again... Do I need to do anything else after running the commands above? I still can't get an Internet connection on clients. Have tried rebooting before and after running the command, but am guessing rebooting afterwards clears that setup. Is there an easy way to do this in network manager?
  5. I never thanked you for this, by the way. Thanks man, 'till I get some sort of SMTP relay running this is a lot easier!
  6. Looked straight past this on the Wiki... http://cloud.wifipineapple.com/wiki/doku.php?id=guidewan Thanks for confirming, Tech! Just so I'm clear, I can't access karma'd traffic from another machine on the network, can I? Only logging with things running on the pineapple itself is possible? Thanks for any help!
  7. Yeah it's a Mk4. The PoE port is for straight connection to a host laptop/pc as far as I know, and the WAN port is for connection to a router or suchlike.
  8. Which script is this? wp4.sh? As far as I'm aware I only need to run that on a unix box if I'm setting up ICS on that box. Or do you mean (telot's?) quick start script?
  9. This used to work before I upgraded firmwares recently; where I would just connect the pineapple via WAN to my network, it would get an IP via DHCP from my main router and I could access the pineapple's UI via that IP (which I still can). It would also serve (karma'd) internet, which it no longer does. Am I missing something in the new firmware? Have I forgotten to do something obvious and stupid? Thanks dudes!
  10. Thank god - saves me a job of attempting to work out how to correct the CSS... also known as a huge ballache. heh.
  11. Saw this and immediately thought of the Pineapple. What do you think? Kinda bulky but it has beef. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/siminoff/pop-the-intersection-of-charging-and-design?ref=recently_launched
  12. Re-formatting my USB drive worked perfectly! Thanks for the tip!
  13. Not sure what I've done, or how I've done it - but for some reason whenever I launch any module from the UI, I get stuck in a redirect.php refreshing kinda loop. Have since upgraded to 2.3.1 but still same problem, even having uninstalled and reinstalled some modules. Has anyone else come across this? Any help'd be great! Aaah - It's Friday!
  14. This sounds great! My contract is running out, and now I know what to do with my old, rooted Desire! Since this is included in the firmware now, are the steps in the original post still necessary? Or is it just a case of connecting one's phone and ensuring development mode is enabled? Also, is there any news on the SD card access? Otherwise, where do I store logs and so on? Many thanks - awesome work as ever.
  15. nice, excited about the android tethering!
  16. For the MK3 I bought an AP41 from germany (no import duty) and the flashed it myself. Bought the MK4 from Hak5 and it did take a little while... Just over a month till I received it. I think it was ~£15 duty to pay on it. So in summary; don't be scared of buying from the US. Some naughty chaps have caused customs to take even longer than it used to - but there is a hell of a lot more stuff for you to choose from if you include the US as part of your shopping repertoire.
  17. Am I being a dumbass or do I need to find some kind of open smtp server? I can't find a way to add a password in order to authenticate to say, Gmail's SMTP server.
  18. I'm a bit of a PHP newb myself, but when experimenting with executing something like this I got it to work like by assigning the exec command to a variable and then echoing that variable. Should be the same thing I guess, but for one reason or another this worked at the time. Something like: $netcatdump = exec ("netcat blah"); echo ($netcatdump);
  19. this looks super awesome! will give it a go and report back!
  20. Nice! Need to give this a go. Enough releases today? :)
  21. Just wondering if anyone had any interesting setups they'd like to share. Do you carry your fruit(s) in a backpack? Embedded in a fancy hat? (this is actually a genius idea... ;)) Am still at the getting-to-grips-with-it-all stage, but I've learnt a lot already. Since the MK3 FW upgrade I'm picturing that as a dedicated deauthing box, with the MK4 ready to provide special internet access. Haven't really taken anything out into the wild yet though... So yeah, just looking for inspiration and stories. Next time I'll have a more interesting setup to share myself.
