  1. I’m a very physically affectionate drunk.
  2. Now if Mac had gone with AMD and made a G5 with the two new quad core AMD’s (they will be out soon) and they made OSX run like a dream using all 8 core's I would say fuck the PC.
  3. I don’t hate Mac, I just think OSX is shit, Windows is shit to but at least with Windows it has a purpose which is gaming, there’s not a single reason for me to use OSX when I can use Linux.
  4. My best friend’s brother had a copy of it and I saw it when I was in 6th form, it’s the sickest, nastiest thing I have ever seen.
  5. OSX is base on the OpenDarwin CVS repository and OpenDarwin is crap. I own a few Macs including a Mac Book Pro and since there change over to Intel very little makes them stand out, beside the looks and when other company start producing computers with the same spec but at a quarter of the price, the only thing they will have left is some good looking machines which most people can’t afford. I will give you this OSX is better then Windows as a standard day to day OS (that’s not saying much) for watching movie, creating website and generally pissing around and the performance is good when running Windows using Boot camp but you are still better of using Windows for gaming and booting in to Linux for every thing else on a PC, the performance will be better (use an AMD) and so will the battery life if your running a laptop and you will save yourself a lot of money. If you have the money and you like the look of a Mac there’s no real reason not to buy one as you don’t have to use there OS and Gentoo runs nicely on the new Macs.
  6. I’ve used this type of equipment before and it works well, I don’t know how well the home made version will work. MAXRAD XtremeWave Parabolic Dish Antennas http://www.blackbox.com/Catalog/Detail.asp...44&mid=4692 If I really want to send data a long distance (point to point) I tend to go with lazars as you can get 1 to 2Gbps and it’s much more secure. This will give you 1Gbps but you can get faster ones. http://www.blackbox.com/Catalog/Detail.asp...98&mid=4710 It would be difficult to make one your self but not impossible.
  7. It looks disgusting, like that one they made on jack ass where the dude ate all the ingredients and then vomited it in a frying pan and cooked it up.
  8. Hears a list of vulnerabilities. http://search.securitytracker.com/cgi-bin/ts.pl
  9. This is one of the boxes I use for testing (the only PC I own with a window in the side.) AMD Athlon 64 1 gig of ram IDE RAID PCI Controller 4 X 400 GB Seagate hard drives (RAID 2) (1.56 TB) GeForce 6 (6600) I can’t remember what motherboard I used as the box is only used for testing and was made of bits I had laying around.
  10. I have a Compaq Armada 7400 which has a Pentium II 400 MHz and 256 MB of ram, it's running Debian and Fluxbox and runs fine for what I use it for, which is as a web server/ Asterisk box at hacker cons (so it can be abused) and for anything where I don’t what to fuck up my good laptops. Debian is the ideal distro for older equipment as it can be installed of 3 floppies and a network connection and it’s not bloated or processor hungry.
  11. My main server (OpenBSD) automatically downloads all my show’s IPTV and TV shows (torrents) so that I can access them using any of my boxes or from my Xbox or Game Cube's if I want to watch it on TV or most of the time from my HP Compaq t5525 Thin Client in my kitchen when I’m having breakfast.
  12. Best os for a simple media server is CentOS.
  13. The only time I have spent time with truly geeky girls was when I was doing my doctorates at university, there weren’t any in electrical engineering but in applied mathematics there where quite a few. Most of the women at the conference may not be geeks but they are very intelligent and it’s not that difficult to chat them up, it’s as simple as “hi my name is Mark (or what ever your name is) do you want to go get a cup of coffeeâ€, and as your at the same event as them it’s not that difficult to find something to talk about.
  14. It's a good place to meet woman that work in the same or similar field as you, and last year I got 3 phone numbers, but I don’t know of anyone that got a one night stand out of it.
  15. Well there are a lot of companies there trying to sell you shit, my company included, I’m going just encase someone ask a question about a new product I designed and my colleagues can’t answer that question, apparently they need me close by. There are some interesting presentations but most of the time they are just trying to push some product. I will be attending a few of the Business Strategy Seminars (I have to) but I’m looking forward to “The fight against DDoS and traffic floods†and “Voip – An Accident Waiting to Happen?†I usually have a few laughs if they do a QA section at end, asking them questions they don’t know the answers to. I will also be going to the "Hackers Panel" the rest of the time I will be trying to avoided any real work.
  16. I got paid to go to that last year and I'm going again this year, it’s targeted to corporations and it's interesting but not particularly fun.
  17. I have to say I like going to Canada as well, I manage to get to Whistler twice a year every year for the last 8 years (once for snowboarding and once Mountain biking) it’s a nice part of the world.

  21. I think Alcohol 120% will do it (it's what I use when making GC Linux Discs) I have 8 Game Cubes I don’t think I have ever used them to play a game on.
