the problem you seem to be describing is a problem that is common if you are using flash player 9, flash 8 is needed for pandora to work properly

yep theres a new problem, I was able to temporarily fix it in the new installer but it really needs a better fix as the new fix has like a 5 second delay between the changing of a song and the updating of the grabber to get ready to grab the new song I am still working to fix this

for me, it almost never makes a mistake as long as i don't click on grab this track before the music actually starts to play. the problem with this new fix is that theres a bigger delay between the song changing and pandoras jar updating so if the song changes and you click grab this track too soon, it rips the previous song. I wish everyone who was working on this would come back. they were much better at this and would have been able to fix it.

while working on fixing it, I couldn't really figure out what to do to fix this problem so i did a temp fix since to get pandora to load, everyone was right clicking on the pandora window then going to show only this frame, then going back, so what i did was to make pandora do that automatically by adding this to it (had to take a pic of the code as when ever i tried to paste it into the topic, it says (The message contains black listed URL(s)) i'm just hoping that a real fix can be made

as many people may know, pandora doesnt seem to be loading anymore (as reported in this topic http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,6714.0.html ) This problem is really annoying and I am having trouble fixing it. yep pandora seems to be having this problem, ill see if it can be fixed but for now, dagaroth's tip works to fix this problem right click on the area where the pandora radio should appear then view only this frame then click on back the problem seems to be this line <div id="TunerContainer"> <iframe src="http://www.pandora.com/?cmd=mini" scrolling=no id="tunerFrame" name="tunerFrame"></iframe> but will need help fixing it as it is hard to tell what changes they made

The new UI doesnt seem as good as the old one and it has caused new problems. mainly with the size of the new one, the size covers up the buttons on the top of the page I was able to fix the problem and include this fix into my installers for more info head to the download page http://forums.hak5.org/index.php/topic,6014.0.html there you will be able to download the latest versions of pandoras jar (these installers have all current fixes already applied so theres no more problems with the grab button or other problems) here is how it looks with my new fix applied

I wonder who really profits form DRM (it doesnt seem to be the creators of the content being protected) just recently this happened http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/9674.cfm if the courts allow this, who will profit. microsoft and all the other big companies will be forced top pay MRT insane amounts of money to DRM their own content that they don't even want DRMed DRM is just a business and people are in it to make money, they could care less about anyone else, as long as they get their paycheck

it wont go away until people boycott DRM content DRM is the reason why many new tv's and hd dvd and bluray players cost so much. HDCP seems to be a part of it and encrypts everything up to the tv. playing this content will require a lot more processing power of any hardware handling it (this will make the hardware cost more) boycott all forms of DRM and prices will go down.

cool I will check it out I do have a extra pc that i use as a small file server (I store all of my anime on it (almost 400GB :), runs windows xp, and it sucks, 533MHz 512MB memory)

yep thats the first thing we tried. probably tried over 100 different proxies they allowed him to go on all needed websites but did nothing for downloading torrents (i think the proxy servers block torrents) PS the college uses a proxy (usually when using the internet at the college, you have to go into your browser settings and just add 8080 for the proxy server ( no name needed) and that allows you to surf the web. (with out it, no web pages load )

I normally use logmein on the computers of family and friends as I keep all of their computers up to date and fix problems but logmein doesnt allow me to transfer files so I am usually stuck uploading to yousendit or mediafire then downloading with the other computer (can get really annoying) one thing that I really wanted to do was to create a shared folder on his pc then use a hamachi like program to connect to the shared folder the main problem is that he doesnt want run much extra since just like me, he uses his PC for gaming

he tried setting up one before and I was never able to connect to it. he cant even connect to normal multiplayer game servers. but today i was able to get him to try Hamachi and it connected with no problem and I was able to vs him in battlefield 2 (his college is really annoying, there are many other wireless networks available but they all are using WPA (I tried all of them and none of my dictionary attacks worked)

My friend is at college and over there, they block almost everything. (and just like me, he likes anime) he wants to be able to download a new episode of a anime show every week but the school prevents that from happening so I am usually stuck using the file transfer in trillian to send him the episodes. (this can get very annoying for both of us) I was wondering if there was a way for him to give me access to his C:Documents and SettingsUser NameDesktop folder where i can just send the files directly to him (he usually saves the videos to his desktop and deletes them after watching)

A student in my class works at a bank (those banks that are inside of a mall) the internet connection in the bank blocks almost everything. but I was able to help him out. lucky, another store in the mall had a wifi connection. so he got a blue tooth keyboard and a pocket pc and now he has a good connection for chatting and surfing the web. if you need, you can have your friend run net stumbler on a laptop (or ministumbler for pocket pc) then check for any wireless connections in range
