  3. Also saying you can't go back home on the holidays either. Good luck with the move, man. Hope everythign goes well.
  4. Should I be ashamed that I know what that is referencing?
  5. I'm a fan of HP as well. My parents own an HP desktop and I a zv6000 laptop, both continue to work perfectly. Even HP's cosumer electronics (printers, etc) are quite nice. HP is the only brand I trust for Scanners and Printers. When I upgraded to Win2k back in the day, I had to keep a small Win98 partition around just so I could use a Xerox printer I had at the time
  6. He always seemed like Evel Knievel to me, one of those guys who'd be around forever
  7. I've had a Dell for 3 years and haven't had any problems with it. I think Dell just needs to get a new battery vendor ASAP Ok, you're right. The majority of people who buy dells get good machines. I just don't like them because I've seen so many go down in front of my own eyes. Mainly due in part to their users' lack of computer care knowledge. That's true. I've seen the same thing with all sorts of computers, Dells include. All I know is I wouldn't touch a Dell Desktop with a 10 foot pole

  9. I up it arrives, the last time someone sent me an internet, it took days to get to me. Maybe I need some more tubes
  10. fractals are not random! :-) You know what I mean. -_-
  11. Now I admit, I'm not the best speller in the world. Infact, I'd say I'm a terrible speller. Also, I don't proofread. That being said, I atleast try to get it right. People who can't or won't, the "can't be bothered" types piss me off. /inbeforepossibleflamewar

    USB Cooking

It would be easier, but would you want to risk spilling ramen or coffee on your mobo?
  13. Wallis, that's badass. What is it? Just a random fractal?
  14. Yeah, I saw it a couple of months ago. Funny stuff
  15. Extremely. I bought it thinking I'd be able to program with it (got it for like $35, so no biggie). Well, it earned that nickname after I installed the JDK on it, it took 20 minutes to reboot, then 20 minutes to run a program I had wrote to only have it crash.
  16. With my proximity to the Canadian border, I stick with Lebatt's and Molson, Molson Export being my favorite. Beyond that, I drink Sam Adams and Guiness from time to time. Funny story about cheap beer. When I was at college, a buddy of mine found a loophole in the ResLife contract that said that minors could have booze in their dorm room as long as they brewed it completely in their room. So he went about making his beer. He found out that it was cheaper to buy to cases of Milwakee's Best and clean the bottles than it was to buy clean bottles in the first place, so I helped them drink said Milwakee's Beast and watch anime. Not exactly a good time.
  17. There was a person in my Visual Basic class that had one of the really tiny Viao's and it looked kick ass. I've wanted a small laptop ever since I got my first laptop. (An 25mHz Acer affectionaly nicknamed Chunk)
  18. I say that everytime I buy a new harddrive. I can remember forking over big bucks for a 6 gig back in High School and I said to myself, this will never get filled. That being said, you can never have enough ram or harddrive space

    Bug List

You computers are afraid of you, so they like to blow up so they don't have to deal with you. :P Happened to me. I was going reinstall ubuntu on my linux box and put a cd-burner in it while I was at it. So it commited seppuku by burning out it's power supply. While the machine was off /truestory
  20. I got a P2 something Toshiba from a buddy of mine for free, and the fan is louder than hell. I need to look into making it quieter.
  21. I have a dell referb. It's nothing to write home about, but it's a solid machine and was pretty affordable. If you don't like Dell, I'm sure some of the other manufactures have referb sites, also.

    heh...

I had a physics prof who looked like the Gamer Glossary guy. But Ctrl+Alt+Del is a hilarious comic and the writer's a genius
  23. I completely agree with Armadaender on this one. If someone wants a 30-06 to hunt deer with, so be it. But no one needs an Uzi
