I am been having some trouble with youtube for the last few weeks. I know quite a lot about computers but can not figure this out.
When i try and watch a youtube video it either works or just stays on the loading screen. If i try and watch one of those videos that are not working though another website (embedded) it says that the video is no longer available (but it is as other people watched it and commented on it). In the bottom left of my screen it says (well on this occasion):
Waiting for dal-v94.dal.youtube.com...
I am using the latest firefox so that is not the problem. I have also go the latest flash version. It seems (mostly) the the older videos are not working and the newer ones are. I can almost always watch the featured videos off the youtube homepage.
I have also tried downloading the videos in a couple of ways but i just get an error message
I am not having any trouble with any of the other video services like metacafe, Only youtube.

I get this all the time on School computers. normally due to mass bandwidth allocations, or just slow ass connection.

Can you boot from the drive? If you can, windows problem, if you can't, buy a new one.

It sounds like your drive is dead, not a lose cable. As for brands, The only thing i can recomend is a sony or pioneer. Both have a good rep for being "good quality" -

Ok, I from personal use feel as if Vista is not the most stable or fastest OS, I prefer XP over it if I choose to walk to windows path. I feel the only reason I would use Vista is if I were to purchase a DX10 card.
yea, might be true, but have u installed it ur self? to test it, n see if the error reports and suposably bugs are true? Theres no point in judging something from all the bullshit that people crap on about. He wants to Use vista, might as well help him.

<_<good jobIts good in the way it does they job, though its way to much hell insecure, i understand that that its so u can help them and such, but telnet service was disabled for a reason, and if u can connect, then pretty much anyone can. This is cool, but way to much of a secuity risk. And can cause more harm in the long run.
Good idea, and has promise, but it would be just as easy to install VNC. I suggest making a script to install a SSH service and set it up.

Pretty much just Hak5, though i do visit Whirlpool (rather large Australian Tech Help site). Thats about it, though everynow and then i goto a few anime forums, but cant be stuffed anymore. lol.

agreed with the two posts above. Normaly the contents of the CD will be on the lines of:
CD1:
Autorun
some.ico
FolderA
FolderB
Data1
Data2
CD2:
Autorun
some.ico
Data3
Data4
In this case, copy the contents of CD 1 into a folder, and just the data files from CD 2. If u dump the contents of just both CD 1 and CD 2 and it comes up with file already exists, make sure that CD 1's files are the ones that you use.
This will have no chance in working, if the CD's are say, install disk and play disk. Also note, that since it will no longer be a genuine disk you will need to use a No-CD game fix. (there not illegal as long as you own the original disk).

i like Ubuntu, but i find that it places strain on older computers, were as OS's like Fedora, and XP don't.

I love techno and trance, anyone listen? Its awesome party music.
Kinda a broad topic don't you think? sure i listen to techno and trace, though i'm into set sub cultures of the genre. For me its more Hard Style, Dirty House and Happy Hardcore, though i no longer listen to alot of my Happy, it more gets the skip button. As for trance, im not really a big fan of it, and only really listen to two groups, Infected Mushroom, and Front Line Assembly.
As for the Techno, C Brown, Hixxy, One Love, PNAU, The Presets, Access 3, Tomcraft, Re-Con, Dark Oscillators, A-Lusion. and Shit loads more, but there the ones ive been Live.

Haha Tomb's coding skills are great, even if u don't get along with him due to his personality, u can't deny his skill.

So i take it that you wanna hack his hotmail back by Brute force, well theres a huge issue there, Hotmail is own and ran by Microsoft, hence there backed by big money, therefore good / great programmers. In aspect of this, does it seem like there may be some kinda of security in place to stop a simple brute force?
Simply your not going to be able to brute force the password, your going to need to look for an alternative to gaining his password.
<jk> My faviorite way of getting passwords is to hide in the open roof, and drill a hole looking down on the keyboard, that way i can just watch when the type there passwords in.</jk>

firefox has many good features like grease monkey,
for some time I have been making a grease monkey script that will allow hak5 to better fit different screen sizes by changing the fixed sizes of the forum to a more dynamic look where it will size it's self based on the size of the screen and not just a fixed size designed for 1024x768
was able to do it by saving one of the pages and editing the code the only problem is getting grease monkey to apply those changes to each page in real time
cant do that with IE
Technically not a good example, since GM is a 3rd party addition to Firefox.

haha, y is it when i read this all i can think about is the Australia House Raids for CP? Its like the only illegal content in Australia (and im sure its the same for most other countries) that they will raid ur house on suspicion.
In all no offense is meant by my post, its just that, from ur mate losing his laptop, and having ur user and pass on it, to having the police having a copy of ur equipment inventory. Just seems hell sus.

:| wtf? in Aus a standard Uni course is... 5g a sem, with 4 years in a course and 2 sems a year thats. 2x4 = 8 * 5 = 40. 160-40 = 120. In the first year of working, even with hex and paying it off, u stand to make 120k AU.

its possible it filtered a number of things, but either way, you started this topic the wrong way, you said that your attacking someone else's website, this is a no no.
So simply i will say, that the site you are attacking, inst so vulnerable after all. Quite easily the web host may be filtering out "http://www.mycookiecatcher.com" in the address. This is easily done. I suggest a new method of attack.
There are hundreds upon thousands of sites vulnerable to an XSS attack, just gotta know how to find em, and what styles of XSS attacks you can do.
