Seems nice but I'm not sure why I'd upgrade from my regular DS Lite.

Of course as soon as snubs does a segment on synergy it goes mainstream. oh wait, that hasn't aired yet. anyway it will this wednesday

I don't know why I need to do this, but I need to do this. So while I'm off doing this, would someone else care to explain why they would do this?

I haven't paid it much attention. I thought it was coming out in Canada first. It doesn't really matter to me that much. My blackberry curve does whats most important to me. In order of importance: 1. Place calls 2. Tether to my laptop 3. Text Message 4. Google Maps 5. Email on device 6. Browse the web (in a pinch) 7. Tape pictures / MMS 8. Play MP3s 9. Get on IRC 10. Windows zooming app recommendations?
Darren Kitchen replied to Darren Kitchen's topic in Everything Else
We have a hardware solution, it's built right into the scan converter. It allows us to zoon and pan, but it's painfully slow and awkward to use via remote. -
We're driving up after work on Friday so we won't be in until late that night. We'll be at the official Day-Con after party at HammerJax on Saturday night. I don't believe you have to attend the con to go. I'm looking forward to hearing Dualcore

While waiting for an episode to render I decided to annotate the typical season4 episode time-line. Of course no two episodes are the same. This particular episode, 406, ran shorter than most. We typically shoot for three 7 minute segments or a 3, 5, and 7 minute segment. This almost never happens :P. 406 features two 4s and a 9. Actual segment content not counting intro, trivia, lan party, ads, bloopers or banter is ~70% while ad content is ~6%. The rest is technolust :P 407 will look nothing like this since we're doing documentary style narration mixed with interviews from Toorcon. Editing will probably take a good 14 hours. Anyway, the DNA of a season 4 episode: From left to right: 1: Semi-transparent Revision3 bug overlay in the top-right corner 2: Revision3 / Hak5 pre-roll graphics, ad billboards and voice over 3: Evil Server bit, Title Graphics 4: Introduction / Whip "going around the room" 5: Segment 1 6: Trivia 7: Ad 8: Community Bulletin or Sketch 9: Segment 2 A: Community Bulletin or Sketch B: LAN Party C: Ad D: ~One-Minute Tip E: Segment 3 F: Wrap up - forums/irc/twitter/bbs/etc 1: Ad 2: Wrap up - Upcoming events 3: Credits 4: Out-takes 5: Trust your Technolust / "Skateboard Kid" I know this level of dissection invites feedback and criticism so if you've got ideas about this format I welcome them.

Sweet, looking forward to seeing how it goes for you. DeepN1KE, that looks nice :) -
What are you doing with your FON
Darren Kitchen replied to DeepN1KE's topic in WiFi Pineapples Mark I, II, III
Nice. I love the label on the one on the bottom left. -
Purchased FON and custom "pumkin" jacket ;)

Very seasonal. I love it. Be sure to update this thread when you get the Fon in there. Good luck! -
I'm sure you could but I don't think the Fon is best suited for this role.

I was recently in an airport with Snubs and we used my nintendo ds running aircrack to deauth nearby clients. The DS needs to be in close proximity to the clients so snubs walked by the clients with the DS in her pocket while I sat with the pineapple nearby waiting for them to connect. works like a charm.
-
If you follow the guide so far the clients connect and are issued an IP. It is my intention to use my laptop, connected via WiFi, as the default gateway to the internet (via EVDO or HSDPA). I haven't had a chance to play with the net config yet but I know it's possible. It's just a matter of setting the gateway.

Sorry I must have missed that with everything thats going on. I have a couple left, just shoot me an email and I'll send 'em your way. They seem to be popular so I'm ordering some more. In fact, as long as I'm ordering more is there anything we should print? Maybe some Evil Server stickers?

Windows zooming app recommendations?
Darren Kitchen replied to Darren Kitchen's topic in Everything Else
Looks good but we needed something for fullscreen. We're using sysinternal's ZoomIt, which works ok. Once we go HD, in a few weeks here, we won't really need a zooming function. :) -
I've been getting questions about our codes so I figure I'll just pop 'em on the forums where they're searchable. hak10 - save an additional 10% off your entire order hak530 - save an additional $5 off any order of $30 hak695 - register your domain name for $6.95 hak15 - save an additional 15% on any order of $75 or more hak1040 - save an additional $10 off any order of $40 or more Still working on getting the SSL code back.

The price is kinda steep but we're also talking about a little machine and a relatively little cost so if it suits you that rocks. Netbooks ftw. I also have agree about the HP keyboard. I had the chance to play with one of the Infiltrator HP notebooks and the keyboard is the best of any netbook.

Bauer Power to the MAX! Chloe open the damn socket now!

Interesting. I'll have to play with it on my eee. I'd be interested in seeing your scripts. -
And what exactly is the problem here? Also, where did you find build plans for your serial cable?
