  4. White doesn't count if it's printed on a sticker because the vynil is typically white, however if printed on a t-shirt, well, we're geeks there is only one color t-shirt and that is black. ;)
  5. @Tyler, thanks for posting your source files! I've added them to the resources folder. I figured I'd post an example. Took about 2 hours in photoshop. I think it embodies Evil Server -- at least, the one that haunts my dreams. I wish there were a way to work a 5.25" disk in there somewhere without cluttering it up. four colors counting white edit: just noticed i've got a few little mistakes in there. namely the darker shadow red in the triangle feet. that color was the last to be added and come to think of it i should have used it to shade the power and reset buttons.
  6. Sorry I should have made that more clear. I've tweaked the specifications: Promise the requirements won't change again. As far as how many, feel free to submit as many designs as you'd like. No limit.
  7. Just updated requirements. Turns out four color is cool. That should make it a bit easier. :)
  8. Calling all pixel ninjas. Ever wish you could submit an Evil Server logo or action graphic to us and win cool Hak5 swag? Now you can, with our spiffy new Evil Server Logo (or action graphic) Contest! Clever, hu? From now until Monday, December 15th we'll be accepting submissions for this totally bad-ass contest -- winner(s) of which will be judged based on style and evilness. The winning graphic(s) will become part of the new Hak5 sticker collection (and possibly other cool stuff). Read more for details. Reference Images A whole slew of pictures of Evil Server can be found at http://www.hak5.org/evilserver/ How to submit artwork Artwork must be submitted to either the Community Images Board of the Hak5 forums under the Evil Server Art Contest section or emailed to darren@hak5.org. 9. I'm having fun in game but I agree its pretty laggy. I killed everything else on the server and i'm seeing pings anywhere from the 30s to the low 200s. still having a blast
  10. Can you post details of your install? I'd love to give this a spin on my eee.
  11. What DHCPD are you using? tfptd? Also, try a MAC scan in Cain.
  12. Well I'd prefer not using the host for assigning IPs to the clients. If there is a way to reliably get the Fon to do this I'd prefer that. How do you have yours setup? I feel that I'm going about that aspect wrong but I haven't heard otherwise.
  13. I love the idea of using skype, since you don't waste network bandwidth of services like ustream or stickam when not watching. And you can setup permissions in skype so that it will only answer to people in its contact list. And as I understand it the skype api is pretty open meaning that you could possible write a little bot that would watch for chat commands and change the channel accordingly. As for the IR transmitters, they're pretty cheap or you can get a kit from someone like sparkfun.
  14. Iceberg also sent this little gem along. http://www.4netonline.com/on/index.php?tar...;product_id=465
  15. I have a similar problem with the IP addresses field in the interface. Clients associate, I can see their mac, but never an IP -- even when I'm running a dhcpd from the host machine. Maybe I'm going about it wrong, but I don't foresee getting a lot of use out of the built in functionality, like the port scanner, if the fon doesn't hook the clients up with IP addresses. Oh, and re 1471, wikipedia states that year "The Yorkist King Edward IV returns to England to reclaim his throne."
  16. With my method the IP address is assigned by the interface connected to the fon as well. However in this case I use tftpd32 in addition to ICS since, for me at least, ICS is not behaving as normal and does not start a DHCPD service.
  17. Iceberg recently sent me a link to this kit and it looks like it would work great for running Jasager. Just wondering what your thoughts were (aside from the obvious $$) http://www.netgate.com/product_info.php?ma...products_id=625 What other SoC's are available?
  18. No desktop icons for me either. promise.
  19. should have posted sooner but after 10 minutes i pulled the plug and rebooted the fon. it came back up within minutes and all is working well. 2.1 feels good so far!
  20. I'm using tftpd32 to handle my dhcp needs in windows. I understand that others have gotten DHCP working on the fon itself correctly but I have not. I explain this technique in 412, please reference that episode.
  21. psp as a pineapple front end sounds cool. toss a battery powered fon in your backpack with a high gain antenna and login with your psp. :)
