  1. You could try that, but how successful have you been with Konboot in your experience?
  2. Watch this video, it has what you are after http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=securit...n-boot-from-usb
  3. Yeah I try to find out what is your friends mac address and then I would log onto that router again and see if his mac address is listed in there.
  4. Thanks dude will watch it tonight.
  5. That's one of the issues with remote viewing it doesn't have a very good frame rate, when it comes to viewing graphics that demands high resolution.
  6. You've actually edited the local host file in your computer, so that will only effect your computer, that won't effect anyone else who connects to the Jasager.
  7. You will definitely experience some performance issues when playing the game remotely. Yes it can be done but performance will be the issue. what you can do is buy another hdd drive and install in your computer, without having to deploy server or any expensive gear. Hope this answers your question.
  8. That's very interesting, have you tried using Putty instead of FoxyProxy to establish a connection with your SSH server? And then creating a dynamic socket, that could be used in conjunction with Firefox.
  9. Yes SSH is encrypted and eavesdropping is almost impossible. Now going back to your previous question, are you able to 100% access facebook or is it getting blocked by your schools firewall?
  10. I was going to mention that if you want network protection against external attacks, you should always go with IDPS, which is a mixture of intrusion detection and prevention. Snort is the most popular intrusion detection system available on the market, but it detects the attack, it does not prevent the attack. On the other hand and as suggested by EthicalHacker IPS is what you want. Untangle is an opensource Linux based firewall, that has many advanced features. One of its features is IDP. You should head out to their website and check it out, its free and you only need to set it up on box. http://www.untangle.com/
  11. You could try is setting up your own proxy server, using phproxy or glype and Apacher, you will also need to use OpenSSL to encrypt the traffic.
  12. Not everyone logs in as an administrator. Especially in a corporate network, everyone has very tight permissions, and access to their machines. So unless you plan on attacking a friend or someone who does have no idea of computer security than, using the method Digip suggested is a must. Just something to keep an eye out for.
  13. No a bad idea, and since Hashcat can do distributed password cracking, its just a matter of splitting the load across the nodes, do you have any idea of how to do it? Edit: I am doing a bit of reading and researching on how to accomplish that.
  14. I download lots of movies off the internet and tend to buy them afterwards. So in a way I am also helping the movie industry, by pirating and at the same time buying the movie.
  15. Not much into games, but diffidently a place to hang out and have fun with friends.
  16. Well said, I was only referring that I was going to be downloading it off torrents. No torrent links have been provided, so no one is pirating nothing yet.
  17. Half of your commission goes to me, since it was my idea. Edit: better yet we could negotiate the price.
  18. I know of a few GPU cracking password utilities but this one is totally new to me. Its amazing what CUDA can do. You know you can open your own online password cracking service and make money from that. I am kinda of thinking in building several machines with NVidia graphics card in them, and use them in a cluster environment to crack wpa, NTLM and other type of password hashes. I could charge around $10 to $25 dollars per hash, depending on the complexity and time it takes to crack the hash. Nice one Digip!
  19. No offence to Windows users, I am a windows user myself too, but unfortunately Microsoft will have to do a better job next time. Two things you could do are: 1. Use one SD for windows 2. And another one for you phone That's the only way you may be able to work around this problems.
  20. I can't remember that one, do you know what episode it was, I might have to watch to see. Are you sure he didn't use dynamic sockets in Putty?
  21. You could have two instances of the SSH server running at different ports, if that's what you want, but having two ports running on the same instance at the same time, I am not sure if that's possible since I haven't tried.
  22. Yep thats one of the reasons why people go with AWUS036H, because of compatibility. But I have heard other people saying that is possible to get BT4 to work with AWUS036NH, its a matter of playing around with the drivers.
  23. I would buy both of them to be honest. The second one offers the speed, it has dual bands 2.4/5ghz, it supports all the latest wireless standards, 802.11a/b/g/n. On the other hand, the AWUS036NH offers 2 watts of power, very handy if you want to get stronger signals. However its support dual bands and supports all the standards, this adapter is not as fast as the AWUS051NH, since it can only go up to 150Mbps.
  24. If you want to do wireless pen-testing, you should definitely go with an Alfa wireless cards. They are the best in the business. They may cost a little but, you get what you pay for. Darren uses the Alfa AWUS036H and if you want, you can upgrade it to a 1watt, very good if you are far apart from the wireless access point.
  25. Yep you read my mind, I was thinking of that actually.
