  1. People are still trying to figure that out, some people call it energy from the void a limitless source that is. I'm still reading more and mroe about it all bit by bit oh and there are videos (of much better systems than COP=5 too around the net) Knew you'd say that, I lost the link a guy in Europe has created an unstable wheel/clamp of magnets the morehe closes the clamp on the wheel the faster it spins, so you can just leave it closed spinning lol. There is energy in instability :) For example any unstable object has potential energy so what happens if I force it into a senario where it can never be stable? (Arn't Oids almost an example of that?) This is old too http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/sepp/2004/...fan_company.htm
  2. I always thought it was parity based and the Array had to be the same as the one from the time the drive died... time to go read more me thinks thanks stringwray :) Edit couldn't you just start writing after the last data point from when the drive died and blahblahblah wow that would be a lot of redirects - compare the modified stamps and only read the latest one maybe and cloan any file changed hmmm reading I shall go
  3. Not many networks check packets then? Is this/would this be an expensive way of doing things?
  4. I just have to say I love it sheer brilliance Uncle Toxie LMAO And remember always practice safe modding kids!
  5. I fear I might of lowered my IQ reading some of this thread  No I am a noob  I have the IQ of GW Bush now
  6. Just 30 more then eh?
  7. Broadcast bit in a telephony bill nonono... http://www.publicknowledge.org/node/475
  8. http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2...csStudioPR.mspx As close to opensource while still retaining profits (to appease the EU courts) as he can lol EDIT: it just makes good business sence to nick something that is illegal and make profit out of it, lets face it the ideas free and no one is going to claim it. Example (and this one is funny) Every new console that come out (or handheld blah blah blah) see's a direct spike in sales once a method to mod it comes along - manufacturers deny it but it's a direct correlation. Now then the manufacturers push there dev kits based on the potential number of customers out there - based on the number of consoles sold - so they win from the mod, they then adjust something to make the mod fail or loose some sort of functionality and presto they have a large consumer base that helps them get more games made for their console. Take Xbox360 for example MS will soon write a verysimple check via the dash or Live server that will eradicate those xboxes from ever playing on Live again... but they don't want that just yet... nonono they want to sell tonnes of units to totally bury sony (Sony are about to be Buried by Blu-Ray anyway lol setback of Sony's own Blu-Ray player again - because it's poo) so MS will wait a few months and let it sell consoles and then send out a killing/feature removing update.
  9. War is pritty much created to boost the economy... check stats if you think thats BS Erm how can I say this people who are waiting for alternative energies are nuts they've been around for over 100 years (Like I said see Tesla's work - hell he even had a more effecent engine). There's an entire branch of Physics based on Gravity & magnetism missing - seems to be deliberatly so too - hell aparently the American Patent office will thro you out if they in anyway don't understand your invention and brand it a perpetual device. The entire economy is based on Oil so what happens when you remove it? Edit as an aside for those who like to think... http://jnaudin.free.fr/meg/meg.htm One of the only patented ones out there I think it has a COP (Coefficient Of Performance - if I recall correctly) of 5 meaning you get 5 time out what you put in. http://www.opensourceenergy.org/C9/Invento...es/default.aspx This stuff blows my tiny mind and then I look at 2 simple magnets pulling themselves together and think... well there has to be energy there, oids anyone? lol
  10. lol I almost forgot what the RD command was lol nasty What ever happed to the freebee MS regcleaner...(google) oh it now screws up office lol
  11. SAP have you cleaning Windows now? :(
  12. I've got an original box of OS2 Warp somewhere round here TOS FTW On chip operating system well blow me down look what technology is comming back to :) Funny how alot of history repeats itself :) some say that's how Nostradamus made his predictions.
  13. Send em to Davie Jone's locker yaaaar Argh Melodic is spreading the piracy virus  That or it's about time for Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man's Chest Right after Pirates of Silicon Valley - I'll see it someday lol
  14. Erm I thought the a lot of major websites actually use traffic volumes to sell webadvertising? So is DDos that bad for some companies? (if it's only on occasion that is)
  15. But you have to admit they have some wonderful storylines... sometimes too complex you have to watch them twice which is nice er ish And then English TV/movie companies butcherr...er I mean copy them :D lol
  16. Maybe why they headcapped the guy? but still your nerves can twich right? We may never know *shrug* You just made me think in a different direction about it and I figure I cannot really win which ever way I look at it so I was wondering how other people felt. From what you said sounds like even you acknowledge you cannot really win Maybe we should just say hell with it - it's a means to an end :D :( helps us get by. Which creates both a feeling of saftey and terror (or dread) Really I think it just money that drives terrorism atthe end of the day, all about the benjamens :( And nope not hard to read and good to hear your POV :) That was the protest in New York against Bush holding a conference there right? Funny some of the stuff I've read says FEMA are marking Christians as potential Terrorists 8( And I admit I'm so far off topic I think :?:
  17. Okay okay my spelling sux :D and I seem to have two ways of him saying it stuck in my head and I don't know where from *shrug*
  18. yaie whoa what did I say wrong? I never said I know everything or anything for that matter, which is why I ask questions. :? Maybe I should of just looked it up on google :D Sorry Spider I was just thinking if I did need to run a VM then I'd probably need 3 cores or 2 cores and some sort of dedicated logic to do it, overall I was just wondering if it was possiable and so I asked. *shrug* :?:
  19. I've been trying to find this thing for ages (I forgot it's name for a while) to see what you guys & gals think... http://www.projectblackdog.com/ Neat eh? Edit: Originaly spotted here - http://www.engadget.com/2005/11/08/blackdo...ux-pc-reviewed/ Credit where credit is due :)
  20. So if I wanted to run a multi core processor multi OS I would need a VM?
  21. Partitioning is so much easier on the Xbox its all dynamically done and assigned by the bios at boot. That said Win98 you can do this easily as win98 only recognises 1 primary partition (the one you boot into) at a time and extended partitions are common WinXP I think you would need to alter the MBR (sorry alittle sleeper here) I found this on google but havent had chance to digest it all... http://www.goodells.net/multiboot/partsigs.htm To be totaly honnest the more you write the more I think that a virtual machine would be your best bet. Darren > I'm supprised no one has ever made a USB device for your hardware setup - you could storethe clipboard (amongst other things) on some solid state memory inside it... ooo give USB DMA access to the other (maybe dangerous)
  22. I never could either Though I think I briefly saw it reviewed in a PCPlus magazine once I'm sure it's over 4 years old (it's been going for that is) windows 98 days (I googled it PC Plus 196 , December 2002 and I recall that was atleast 1 year after i first saw it advertised)
  23. Hey don't shoot me for saying this... I know in the US in MacD's Tmob provides the WiFi Access and it's free through those access points for DS's to access (Opera is comming out soon for the DS aswell) Maybe you could setup a connection to your home PC that looks to Nintendo like your are playing a game with a friend - but that would probably take lots of coding and Nintendo probably have checks in place lol Just wait and see how Opera connects on a DS is the easiest thing. Following that you may then be able to rig up Natrium's Serial port addon and connect the DS to whatever you wish. Ah Nintendo Free VoIP and soon maybe free web access :) you have to love them (for now)
  24. Sorry was 1/2 asleep I mistook Micro for Milli :D *incert various appendage - oo er misses - jokes here* :p I coud of just said it was a joke and gotten away with it too lol
  25. Nah I was just bastardising it like the USA corp prez does Maybe a little too much though maybe it's one of those genious things as he is supposed to have 129 (ish) point IQ
