  1. now that requires some ubermicro skills!
  2. Well about 8 years ago i got the dakota digital single use camera and thanks to some classmates we found out for about less than 20 bucks ......actually just about lucky 13 i had a digital camera that has been used over and over and over again with standard AA batteries that can be swapped out. only i feel that hak5 should have something similar and yeah mine is an older model and i was wanting to upgrade so below is a link to the newer version that is much easier to hack then what i did. the older version required you to cut a usb slot in solder in some wires and glue it down with the help of a bracket made from a paper clip, however all things considered its held up well with time and use. Its made out of a strong plastic and the stickers (that say you cant connect to a home pc in two different locations) are very water resistant and i have no idea how many times i changed the batteries but if the new red camera is similar to this old blue one it should be just as nice only with a screen to see your pictures. also these cameras can be found at a CVS, ritz camera, maybe a few other places like Walgreen's and so on. http://www.maushammer.com/systems/dakotadigital/lcd.html http://www.metacafe.com/watch/422124/digit...nt_you_to_know/ here is something for other ideas http://www.maushammer.com/systems/
  3. well i hope not everyone forgot about this i would like to see it improved. mainly because i like the idea of the key strokes being emailed to somewhere which currently hasn't been working for me but i hope that will be corrected soon. maybe the guys on hak5 can help out with that new hak5 labs maybe this could be a part of some kinda super spy stuff you know real 007 stuff with the hot cars hot women and cold drinks.
  4. ok ive tried to boot from my windows xp iso but it fails each time. anyone else having any success?
  5. I had a similar problem awhile back just try reinstalling VLC Player and get the newest version that should be your best bet to correcting the problem.
  6. so in your OS part of your drive your using the windows iso instead of a cd? doesnt sound like too bad of an idea. now if winodws could run directly off a usb device without that bartPE thing that would be cool.
  7. well somewhere i have heard something about the U3 switchblade requires only up to a 2 gig flash drive but im not so sure that statement was true now. How big of a drive are you using because im sure its bigger then the 2 gig i got on sale for like ten bucks.
  8. awhile back I did wonder if Hak5 would have posters we could get from the hak5 store or not but yeah its none existent as of right now. however i did find a good picture of everyone that looked like a good poster pic so i visited http://www.blockposters.com/ printed this out and carefully trimmed the edges off got some tape but that ticky tack stuff works better. anyway my request to the guys at hak5 is would it be possible to get some new snap shots so us viewers can print out our own posters of our favorite podcast?
  9. Has anybody tried to do this one a U3 switchblade yet with success or failure? I know Darren flashed a U3 drive off but he didn't say if it had the switchblade on it.
  10. I really missed the old way hak5 did a live show but yes the life casting of the hak house is cool but i believe others will agree with me that we miss the discussions and skype calls or tweets to get questions in even maybe in doing a show for the week in letting viewers help out and watch as something is setup step by step would be great like ones such as the fon since many people have had problems with those things.
  11. compaired to the high school musical one this seemed to be the better of the two even if it has no words.
  12. i was thinking of doing a ustream video on how to make the fon pineapple soon with details on where to buy how to do with all those extra details left out but that way i could get some fan help in what im doing wrong that way i can document the work then edit it into a final video
  13. Well I guess its just a matter of time before we can see the latest installment of this variation but i am looking forward to using it as soon as the new link gets posted!
  14. when you post the new link to the pocket knife can you please list what is working and what isnt and any other things that are worth noting like before.
  15. I bet if the same thing happened again say on a site like eBay that is auction like, it could quickly raise money for Hak5 in acquiring new resources instead of just selling stickers all the time. Plus it would please the fans that they are getting something from Hak5 made by Hak5
  16. So I have seen these IDE to USB adapters and Sata to USB adapters but i was thinking of getting a spare box, installing a usb card that has a usb slot on the inside then a usb hub and then install my hard drives both IDE and SATA connect them to the usb then to the power supply and run something like windows server since odds are the usb adapters will all be identical with the exception of the hard drives. I have thought about trying this since my raid card is full and i cant add any more or mix another raid controller with it (cant boot) but given the transfer speed of usb to the ide and sata drives yes it sits in the middle but with it being in a raid array that should help pick up the speed but still i would like some thoughts about this possibility.
  17. I have been searching for a promo code for months now and still have not found a single one that was valid. Ofcourse on night (very late...or early) I just snapped and bought a standard fon and the fon 2.0 but if anything pops up this is the spot it will end up at.
  18. I know is a little soon but on the calendar it says your birthday is in like a day so Happy Birthday man!

  19. I just can wait for this version to get done its got just what i need a keylogger and i believe an antivirus kill command in there with all those other goodies ;) I would like to help finish it but sadly im not that great at coding (yet)
  20. ok i as of now im running a different version of openwrt and i telneted in and used the command cat /proc/cpuinfo and i learned that my router has a model MIPS 4KEc V6.4 so if its not the newer atheros then why am i having issues? so maybe its just whatever webif couldnt download could be gumming up the fon. anyway here is what i am seeing on the screen. system type: atheros ar2315 processor: 0 cpu model: MIPS 4KEc V6.4 bogoMIPS: 183.50 wait instruction: yes microsecond timers: yes tlb_entries: 16 extra interrupt vector: yes hardware watchpoint: no ASEs implemented: shadow register sets: 1 core: 0 VCED exceptions: not available VCEI exceptions: not available but on this site http://wolfpaulus.com/journal/embedded/fonera0.html it says that this processor CPU: Atheros AR531X_COBRA - MIPS 4KEc V6.4 - 183.50 MHz is the new one im still working on it carefully so ill keep ya posted
  21. ok so like before while trying to install jasager the fon locked up and froze. still when i start over i think ill try a general version but im starting to wonder is it really webif or openwrt? i mean webif sits on top of openwrt so that could be the problem but when its up and running nothing out of the ordiary happens so maybe its ok. still with webif doing its thing where it cant download all that junk it wants so what about a different web interface other then the one used? does anybody think thats why jasager keeps freezing up and wont run properly? well im going to try some different things and play around with it alittle but if anybody has had any success in this area plz tell.
  22. ok so i know its been some time since i have messed with my fon but what you said about the processor being atheros and not mips i thought atheros was the chipset right? anyway im trying the whole thing over again just incase something was currupt but i was even thinking if i get it working using version 2 of jasager bc i think it has something for turning on the wifi light on the fon.
  23. if you are using xp there is a wizard that can guild you through the ICS part without a problem but if your still having problems it could be the same im having with a different cpu on the fon which creates problems. If you could provide any more detailed info that might help us find the problem directly.
  24. i have a fon and fon 2.0 and so far ive been working on the fon only for now but i guess the cpu is different then the one darren has wish a mips processor so i have had trouble with webif installing correctly but fon 2 will follow it shortly.
  25. Just a thought but have you considered a "Self Destruct" in this payload that say if this email account did get a email it didn't send but that there was one with a subject or code or something with a little nudge that would delete the payload like if someone found something out and tried to pin it on you and you have no physical access to it now other then the email. so what i am saying is you send the email that computer see's it and removes itself. I know it sounds a whole lot different if you mess up what i said like delete all files on the computer just to be mean but maybe you could lol a real Kill command. like the people I know dont leave there computers alone long enough for me to vnc into them to remove or add anything.
