  1. I copied the same files to my computer and formatted the 2GB card as FAT32 then copied them back and its working just find now. Having some difficulties now with plugging it into my home network and getting to the log in page so im trying to configure it without a cat5 connection and I am trying to use client mode on the network settings but I am trying to get the infusions list to add stuff on here. so far no luck with that. blue light comes on then goes off then back on again but its not blinking
  2. I copied the files from the 2GB SD card I got with the pineapple to a 4GB SD card I already had. I formatted it FAT32 and the pineapples 2GB SD card was FAT. Would that make a difference? Because now I got a blue light solid then amber solid then all the lights solid and now its blinking blue with solid green and after that its doing the pattern of the 3 colors so it looks like its working now. I just dont see why I can copy the same files to a different card without going to wifipineapples.com and getting another copy. So that makes me think FAT vs FAT32 probably was the problem.
  3. Yeah thats whats confusing me is that blinking amber light I know it means its searching for upgraded files but is it searching online or the SD card or both? And shouldn't it time out about a set amount of time?
  4. All my dip switches came in the up position to but as for the lights its just green and amber those two are the only lights i get. Is it possible I got a bad upgrade file? or a dead sd reader on the Mark V?
  5. I took my SD card and checked it with my computer I have 2 files on it one is upgrade.bin and the other is MD5 with the following listed inside of it when I open it in notepad. d9ca989ac9fa2855fbd38dcafee9c195
  6. I dont even get the blue blinking light that says its even booting or even a blue solid light. Just solid green and blinking amber and thats how how ive had it for the past half hour. I dont see the red solid light and I dont see the red blue amber pattern
  7. Yes I read the card and the instruction before powering up the device.
  8. Ok here is the update. I have tried every combination possible on the dip switches and nothing is working. Just like before I get a solid green light then the blinking amber light. I didnt wait 5 minutes I waited for 15 thinking maybe it needs more time. I tried connecting it to my home network and directly to my laptop with the cat5 cord and I cant get to the log in page. The wireless does show up and I can connect but I still cant get to the log in screen. trying it without the 1471 port extension at the end gets me a date in 1970. I am officially stumped, I thought this would work out of the box but I found a hiccup.in the boot process.
  9. Just got my Mark V Wifi Pineapple today and I did the instructions. You know insert the SD card, plug it in and wait five minutes. Well five minutes turned into ten. Reading the instructions and messing with the dip switches, all i get is the solid green light then the blinking amber light and thats it. Either its something with these dip switches im not getting or I just bricked the unbrickable pineapple in record time. I am currently looking into the SD card for possible corruption but if anyone has any ideas or similar experiences PLEASE enlighten us all.
  10. I got a pineapple months ago and I believe I bricked it. I pressed the reset button on the bottom of it, which I believe started the whole thing. Anyway I got a serial to usb adapter from the Hak Shop and started debricking it. I ran into a problem when I pressed enter after using the command "bootm 0x9f650000" It started rebooting again and again. I left it alone for a minute then just decided to connnect the serial adapter back up to it about ten minutes later just to watch what it was doing. I dont know what happened but it stopped and I could finish debricking it. I got the latest version of the pineapple installed which is version 3.0.0 and it seemed to be fine. removing the serial adapter if the pineapple was on or off didnt help it keeps booting then rebooting. I tried messing around with the 3 serial pins to see if maybe it had something to do with it but things just got weirder. I found out as long as the serial to usb device was connect to my computer and the ground connection was the only pin connected to the pineapple it would work just fine. However id like to button it up and use it away from my desk. I have thought about maybe connecting the ground pin to the negative or some other grounding part of the board to keep it running but I havent found anything in the forums about this yet. Any idea's guy?????
  11. I just debricked my Mark 4 Pineapple and it was because it just kept rebooting repeatedly but that started after I tried the reset button under it. Anyway I did the debricking with the serial usb thing from the hak shop and as long as its got the serial to usb devices hooked up and connected to my computer the pineapple is fine the second i disconnect it its back to rebooting. I messed with the pins and found it only does it when I disconnect the ground pin. Any idea's as to why this is or how to get it to stop without grounding itself to probably the negative line.
  12. Should we post new idea's about what could be added to the pineapple mark 4 here? because I already have a few ideas of my own.
  13. I have done all the research i can to figure out what ive done wrong. I have two flash drive the one I upgraded to grub2 the second was just a straight shot to grub2 and I created a grub.cfg file and placed some entrees in it. it boots up to the grub screen showing the 2 listings I put in which was an iso of windows xp pro and kon boot. neither work at the moment but I did notice something about certain commands like mem that are not installed when grub is. even tho i have tried that but still nothing is booting up.
  14. here is a second bittorrent link just in case someone doesn't have a demonoid account or something http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5715958/Hak5_Icons
  15. I am in the process of redoing my Multipass and editing some ISO files to suit my needs, that said I have some old icon files I made a while back for the Hak5 Linux distro. Its just a few of Hak5, Command N, Tekzilla, and Twit. Anyway here is the link for those that wish to download it. http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/2325628/8445672/ Enjoy
  16. OK so I was able to make my multipass with grub version 1 and was able to successfully get it working and fixed up to how i wanted it but when the show came out with the grub2 update to mount the ISO files I kept replaying it since it for some reason didn't seem to clear but I did what Darren said to do which was use the latest ubuntu distro from a live CD and did all the same commands the problem is when i looked into the drives main folder all i could see was just the one folder it made everything else was gone (backed up everything of-course) and I attempted to boot it with a menu.lst file on it but i found myself at a grub2 screen that didn't show the menu.lst listings or anything. I feel as if I have missed a step or am not doing something right since grub2 appears to be installed but not working correctly. any ideas anyone?
  17. ok got my dev kit in the mail today (TY Darren) and got to check it out a little. its much smaller then I first thought, but still the possibilities started to race in my head. Yet, Duck hunt is a prime target Ill be looking very closely at it this week to see if I cant find a loop hole in it and I believe I have a working theory on working around it but now that i have the kit i can test that theory. what i would like to know is why Darren decided to shove an abomination of hardware up a ducks butt for?
  18. there has to be another way...if the U3 switchblade had a cd rom partition and the ducky has a macro for keyboard and mouse is it possible that we could do the same thing as the switchblades cd rom partition even tho there is a patch for it i hear. still something has to come up when the device is detected other then a prompt for what to do. still I don't fully understand the duck hunt program but if its only HID devices with keyboard and mouse why would scripts be effected, just a thought i just came up with what if the ducky's keyboard mimicked the attached keyboard it has to have some unique ID tag or something it can get. but if the computer things the HID is its own keyboard that's perfectly legit just makes me wonder if it would really pull it off.
  19. Just saw the show for today and with that duck hunt program made by moonlite to block HID keyboard access I was thinking why not have a little something to kill it on the storage area of the ducky. now your thinking well how can I run it automatically, if the keyboard is a no go there is a good chance other things should be working like mouse control and scripts. so my idea is make a little shutdown script for the defenses of the duck hunt program, maybe it should be called "Killer Ducks" lol.
  20. so far the payloads will need to be compartmentalized for mac windows (maybe between various various like 95 to xp) and of-course Linux and even something oddballish such as the 360 or ps3 I am still thinking about what in the world I could to with it but if I could use it like the old Nintendo game genie I could think of some wishes to have granted. as for the payload for different versions what if we made a script that would go to the payload for say windows and we could select the XP payload and say everything is in this one folder or maybe organized nice and neat. and the script would just use those specific payload files and give you the user the power of controlling the script to activate and deactivate different sections of that like with the USB Pocket Knife with the menu it has that convenient. and just a thought but who isnt going to notice a yellow rubber duck if your trying to be all 007 or Austin powers like (ya baby ya!!) idk the exact size of how big everything is going to be with the sd flash on it and the usb adapter to the dev board but what if it was something or casual for the housing like a large marker with the cap to cover the usb plug or something?
  21. I wanted to open a little discussion on the Ducky Dev kit or whatever you wanna call it, but according to everything ive seen and heard about this clearly shows there is plenty of room for more so here i wanted to see if we can stir any ideas up. First looking at the kit itself its just a simple chip that can hold a small amount of data inside with the exception of wiring a SD card to it. now I have been a huge fan of the switchblade and all the different payloads but lets say we have it as a device that works as a HUD along side a common flash drive so the scripts for the HUD for the command line and all that and maybe even some of the switchblades payload can be on the SD card so when you plug in the ducky at say a friends house it looks normal enough works normal enough instead of being the 5 second ducky in the usb slot. as for switching the payloads I was thinking something similar to the switchblade pocketknife payload with specifying it into a script on the Dev kit chip itself then have all the different payload scripts and files on the SD card to run. Darren did say something about a dip switch for switching between payloads and maybe that's a good idea but what about using a dip switch as a on off switch for the payload to make it a normal usb flash drive for those you don't want to hack. my goal in creating a usb Ducky is to keep everything simple clean and freaky with abilities. I even have taken some hak5 icons I made some time ago for the switchblade to have the switchblade as the icon in the my computer windows but actually they were make for the hak5 Linux box I have. Hopefully we can get this USB rubber Ducky done up to be out uber USB Dooms Day Device ;)
  22. I was thinking about modifying the switchblade code to work on a cheap and expendable CD. yes i know the logs wont write to the disk but why not just have everything emailed out instead. I think if you did this and it would do the exact same as a U3 switchblade it would really make those army guys or marines or whoever it was that heard about the switchblade and ordered all usb slots glued shut to panic some more. I just wanted to state my feelings about this since i have had more then one U3 drive get borked while trying to do both the switchblade and my own custom apps. something else was the anti virus for those non U3 switchblades yeah it nukes it bad if the AV isnt killed but i thought either have a usb battering ram with a AV Kill script on-board so the switchblade and have a feeding frenzy on the system. I do believe i hear some other way about having a backup rar file or something similar on the drive but doing the AV Kill after a nuke then restoring to hack the machine seems like that would take too long even when you dont have much time to begin with. still other then the log on the flash drive an emailed version would be a nice little perk to have with all that external ip data, nmap, key logs and so on. Im not really a coder but I am carefully trying to look over the different switchblade flavors and see if there is anything I could do to make this happen but if anyone wants to fill in the blanks feel free to lend a hand.
  23. anyone gotten a windows xp iso to work correctly? if so could you post the code? as for the product key i am using nLite to make it a full unattended install putting the key in for me so solve one problem.
  24. so far i have had 2 2gigabyte sandisk flash drives that just stopped recording logs and running its scripts idk if its because i cut and pasted the log folder else where on my home box but i tried to redo the customizer which didnt work. then i tried to remove the launchpad and even a reformat but even tho for the most part the launchpad and the cdrom partition looks normal the hidden system folder doesnt look right. any idea on correction? other then this everything else like launchpad apps and wallpaper swapping works fine but the switchblade just isnt recording logs or running anything of the switchblade but its the gonzer version 2 iso that im using if that makes a difference.
  25. just google it, that's how i found it.
