I had an even bigger problem since my boss only sent two of us. Throw in some hangovers and what not, and two people can only cover about that many at the max. I'd be willing to volunteer my time next year, i'm going whether they pay for it or not, haha.

Yeah my line of thinking here is that VPNs have a purpose in security. "Open" VPNs don't really follow this, because it's supposed to be a secure end-to-end connection.

I don't know if a completely "open" one would work. There is a reason that companies charge money for VPNs. I personally run a VPN for myself and some friends off of my Linksys WRT54GL (DD-WRT firmware), but the question becomes one more of liability than possibility here. If some joe schmoe stumbles across a sticky post on the forum here which lists the VPN information, connects to it, and downloads child porn, it's probably not going to be that hard to fight off legally, but will be expensive. What happens if he uses it while he is wardriving and does the same thing? I think it might be possible on some level, but would require some heavy management to make sure there aren't any retards on it. Perfect solution for those us of who travel a lot.
