  1. Sorry cant help you with the switch problem, but I do have a funny story regarding KVM switches. In a few of our computer labs we implement KVM switches so that some of the computers can run off the school network, and some can run off their own internalized LAN for that room. We have them on a separate LAN so that they can do there own computer class stuff without interfering with the school network. Well the other day, one of my teachers inadvertently hacked the school network. He plugged the wrong network cable into the KVM switch, and hooked up a rogue server (one that was meant to be used for the internalized LAN) to the school's network. Instantly he had compromised a network with over 700 nodes. The server was dishing out DHCP addresses and screwing with the securities and directories. The network people were pretty pissed with the teacher. Now to prevent this from happening again the Ethernet cable is now color coded.
  2. Have you tried www.logmein.com ?
  3. Yeah, but you were being nice guys. You saw what happened to us in September 11, and wanted to help us out. We probably would of done the same for you. You have been good allies, and don't forget you are joined with us in the U.S's first ever peace standing Military alliance (NATO).
  4. You mean talking about it on a forum doesn't help anything???
  5. Supreme dictator Vako strikes again... It is not only about the illegal downloading, it is about government control. We say we are land of the free, then why should the government be spying on its own citizens.
  6. I thought that U.S. soldiers have lots of access to the web. In a recent article I read, the DoD was banning certain sites from deployed soldiers (myspace.com youtube.com etc...) because one it was a risk of security and two it was using up all there bandwidth, meaning that they did have access to the web. Then again maybe you are going somewhere where they won't even give you that. Wherever you are going, soldier or not, good luck!
  7. My suggestion is to go on Craigs list (if not Craigslist then Ebay). You will fetch more there than at any store. Good luck :-P www.craigslist.org Just look to the left and choose your city. That way the buyers will be able to pick it up.
  8. The time of Vako is over, now it is time for a new supreme dictator of the forums... EVIL SERVER
  9. Even if they were full time hackers, it would be hard to pull of a weekly show with limited resources available.
  10. Thanks to something I like to call the G W can suck my left nut act (Patriot act). The Feds don't need to go to a judge, they can just start listening if they deem you a threat.
  11. Oh, and that quote is worthy of a signature.
  12. So true. The governments inability to do anything right or on budget is on our side. Go inefficient government!
  13. If I remember correctly, besides floppy drives PSU"s are the most common hardware failure of computer tech. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  14. Wow, for a first time hardware failure, they sure gave you a crazy one. Reminds me of a time i was putting pieces of paper into an old fan with a wire grill and it would fling across the room. Eventually I stuck a large piece, and it couldn't fit out of the grill, and a large amount of rattling ensued. I quickly pulled the plug from the fan and had my whole class looking at me.Getting a little off topic of hardware failures. Anyway one time I was working at a tech drive (recycling old technology). Some computers got donated to us (looked pretty old). So we ripped them open to see what hardware they had inside, and low and behold many of them had spider webs and bugs inside. When I finally got one working it had a file named passwords (you can guess what was inside), and another file named clients (had all the people that had bought a car from a car dealership, names, phone #'s, addresses). The things people donate...
  15. I wasn't trying to be an ass, I legitametly wanted to know what your site has to offer. Nothing wrong with that. And calling the majority of us assholes (there is no w in assholes :-P) is not going to get you very far. You definitely should have included some more info about your site in the initial post.
  16. What exactly does your site offer? I see there are a lot of digg sites on the news section, what else? Why should we view you site, how will it better us? I am not being a smart ass, seriously, let us know why we should click your link.
  17. Plus that would ruin the entire concept of the switchblade. If I wanted to get someones password real quick, I just want to enter my usb drive, rip off the password, and go. If you had to do all that then that would defeat the purpose of owning a switchblade.
  18. I recently noticed that a pesky new windows update prevents you from getting the LSA secrets off a computer. On XP when I plug in (and all of you assuming you dl'ed the new update) the computer issues me a message about a LSA security violation, and it gives me one minute to close all programs before it reboots, I will try to get a screenshot of it later (will be a little bit of a challenge). Edit: Heres the pics First you get the top error, then after clicking OK, the second screen pops up and you better save your work quick.
  19. Yeah, I noticed this while plugging in my switchblade, I tried to get some files off of it, but it gave me 1 minute to end all my tasks before a reboot, most annoying. I didn't even agree to the update. :x
  20. Why don't you use free services like hotmail or gmail, they work probably better than anything you could set up, plus they offer tons of free space to store email.s
  21. I guess your right. Encryptions are just way to complicated. I propose we make laws that say such hard drives need to be chained and locked to the hard drive. + =
  22. Well, If moonlit wasn't already pissed he couldn't lock it, I am sure you sealed the deal.
  23. On the second page of my Google, I got my Hak5 profile, which is impressive since my handle is unfortunately shared with a couple bad song titles.
