i dont know if there's any way i can recover my files but windows disk consistency checking popped up on my d: (usb drive) b/c id left it plugged in but the computer was not set to boot from it now windows says it needs formatting which is bull shit :( ... i spent a long time making that stick now im going to have to start over again BOLLOX im annoyed anyone suggest a disk rescue tool that will work on my usb :( ... i think its a file system error ... i think (hope) the data is still there or has anyone had a similar problem

ive heard good things about the ms security suite ... but im using avast atm which is pretty neat and some one else was telling me avira ? but im not so sure about this ... konboot never works lol .... always pops up a double bios warning on my pc's (then wont let me log in / or even boot lol) MAKE SURE U CHECK THE STARTUP MANAGER LINK I POSTED ^^^ its a brilliant tool :D

whats your favorite hack / tool you've had to use in real life to help someone out :) +1 to ophcrack ... friend forgot her 8char pwd last week within 2 minutes id got it :D ... i had a disk tool for remounting and creating specific boot sectors on disks when they'd become lost / damaged ^^ used that a few times to save hd's ** my usb hack stick is indispensable **

vlc remote is sooooooooooooo awesome call recording is wicked love that app mapdroid for offline maps ;) erm x10 light widget scanlife is fun andnav ... free satnav floating image is cool photoshop ... replica island ... and the wifi scanner ;) but saying that i think i might make y own after this weeks ep. lol integrate some routines to check a default password list automatically and test the security of local connections hehe :) ... get it to make a noise when it finds a vulnerable network hehe

i cant get the bg colours/colors to work properly :( the image is fine grub just seems to ignore my colour scheme ? any ideas ?

i heard they're updating it soon to 2.2 :) hopefully we'll get some multi-touch action soon too apparently all the functions for multi touch are included on all android devices but they have left the drivers out i wonder if this is because of apples patents ? ... and google are waiting for someone to write one (so google cant get into trouble with apple)

@parman lol read what i wrote c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y ... it doesnt matter if you can get around the login what i said was to entice them into not formatting the drive you'd be best not setting a password yes you could use truecrypt and a strong password .... but then the laptop would get formatted ... thus removing the tracking software unless it was somehow stored in the bios to reinstall automatically futile just be careful where you use your laptop and buy a laptop combination lock if your that paranoid

kind of pointless b/c if you didnt want them to format the laptop .... you'd need to leave it not password protected ... which is worse ? ... your data being stolen or the hardware ? im saying data.

Im not 100% sure how the duck works but thought id contribute my 2 cents, could you use an android phones micro USB (via a cable to the duck) to select different scripts to upload to the duck before connecting to a pc ... i dont know if this is possible .... i know its possible to browse files on the phone from pc but is it possible to read a usb stick / sdcard via the micro usb on the phone i hope this makes sense any comments appreciated and if anyone thinks this is a good idea feel free to rip my idea just knowing i've helped you out is enough for me

I have an interview tomorrow for a database developer / systems analyst ... i'm hoping I get the job as i've been on the shelf for a few years. If I get the job it may involve pen-testing their site / system for SQL injection and security weakness's (something i havnt really done before but understand) can you give me any tips / pointers / software i can mention ? (just related to SQL injection) i know there are automated systems for testing sql injection ... whats the most widely used app? should I just explain what I understand about tight and strict data validation and methods for stopping sql injection ?? or approach it from a hacking point of view ? ... any help greatly appreciated regards Trip
