I have been messing with windows 2000 and have it running on a machine older than most of our moms. P3 500 mhz, 256mb ram. Well maby not old but its outdated. Im using it as a server. perfect right? sadly not. After about 1 -2 hours running from a fresh restart, no traffic will go across the nic card. Any solutions? if you need more info i will be able to provide it. I can't think of anything else to ask or say. BUT THIS I NEED HELP!!

no it doesn't. its not a stander quarter inch phone plug. I'm using rca. Alright i got a pinnacle pctv HD pci video capture card. Well the software that came with it sucks. It basicly to the point it doesn't work. But when i try a webcam program (No audio) it works perfectly except with out the audio. My question is, what program can i use to capture both the audio and video. extra cookies to who ever tells me one i can use the remote with too.

I just got a psp. well im out on the road and even at home my ap has been craping out. this may be a noob question but i want to use my wireless card in my labtop as an access point. I have it hooked up the a cable modem. I want to connect my psp (SLIM) to the internet but i have no wireless router with me. :D thanks all and marry christmas

Some reason it won't boot into the Ubuntu install cd. well it will but it gets an error. windows 2000 is the only one i got to work.

im having a problem with windows 2000. I just installed it and after awhile i get this error. http://vgeneration.net/pic/servererror.jpg Its probably a virus. (im thinking this for certain reasons. :D ) I would update to windows xp but this computer is too old to run it. :(

at my school network, yesterday i ran backtrack and used some of its tools to see if any would work, well they did and detected a ton (over 40k) packets. mostly was printers but i also got a cisco router. so i got access to the school network, but it is mainly novell network. I didn't get access to the internet and i know they have a proxy server cause at one time i got access to the internet tools and saw the settings. :( sadly i don't remember it. I have a contract that the teachers have to allow me to use my computer in school. So i don't have to carry books. :D

like K1u its the same with myspace. I have myspace and use it everyday. Im only on for about 10 mins and then im done. then im working onmy server. so wth is with people and harping on people who do stuff that they don't like?

Ive ALWAYS, ALWAYS been with the console for two resones. like darren said, you don't have to spend so much money to play with others, and you don't have to upgrade every time a new generation of games come out. I remember when 1 ghz 1 moniter was "THE THING" now every one has 8 cores, GHZ up the butt and 22 moniters.

dang i know my wieght is under. And i sit on my computer(s) all day and eat burgers, pizza, and pasta. Oh and did i mention i drink pop along with that. (((( MOUNTINE DUE)))) I wiegh a out standing 145 punds. At 17 thats not to well. Cause i just got out of the hospital. I was in there for 4 months :( sad to say i lost my leg cause some fucking docter didn't know how to do his fucking job.

Fix: don't use Opera to IRC. IRC was up the entire time and functioning fine. As was hak5 radio

I beilive it is 2 cause its a newer device.

I am tryin to set up a 24/7 streaming webcam of my studio. But when i first install the webcam and get it running, it'll run for about half an hour. Then the picture will freeze. I would then have to unplug the cam then replug it in only to find when i try to start it up, the picture is frozzen. The kind of webcam im using is a Ezonics cam 4. Got it at walmart in a pac of 2 with 2 mics for only 10 dollers. It has wonderful quality so i would like to keep it. I am running windows xp pro on an amd athlon 900 mhz with an amazing 500 some mb of mem. :)
