  1. holy crap Bakb0ne! I thought that was a real fly on my monitor! lolz!~

I'v always used amd and never had one overheat. Dont have to have watercooling, just a decent heatsink. They run hot, thats just how they are.

  2. I dunno if it was bush or not but I know he spent every dime he had his hands on right before obama got in.

I also feel like the money rabbit hole in the government is so long the blue pill wouldnt show you how far it would go.

I also feel like all media in one way shape or form is too busy *with the exception of a few programs* bashing political parties or speculating bs to actually talk properly about the government and the economy.

***any rush limbaugh listeners out there... Quit listening to that fat bastard cause he's rotting your brains***

I feel like the stimulus package isnt going to put much of a dent in the can right now, but I think more overly it has to do with people with big amounts of cash that are being severely frugal right now, and thats whats causing all of this.

Sounds silly doesnt' it? But it's all a loophole one way or another, but in a good way.

Think about the economy like this: It's like an ubuntu logo. The gov. prints money, money is distributed to banks and organizations. Sooner or later it trickles down to the working class *and what few middle class people we have* these classes of people pays taxes, bills, purchases, etc. and it eventually gets back to the government.

So to simplify this analysis, think about it as cars going in a circle. Sometime in the past years, someone slowed down for one reason or another, so in turn the rest of the cars are going really slow, and there is a gap between the head car and the last car. There is no other option but for the first car to sooner or later speed up, therefore letting the rest of the cars go faster. It's that simple. This even goes for our government against other nations. It's a cycle, just with money.

The economy has been modeled this way since after the great depression... At least I could say all of our leaders back then thought about us in the future, but at the same rate, I feel people are putting too much pressure on obama. They watch his every move and it's got to be hard enough to know that the spotlight is on him anyway since he is the first black president.

  3. I look at it like this, you dont have to have cutting edge top of the line performance from a processor to do premium gaming, and if price were not an issue, i would probably have a macbook, but i dont cause money is money.

BTW DISCLAIMER *** HEXSKREW DOES NOT ENDORSE NOR ENCOURAGE THE USE OF ANY APPLE RELATED PRODUCT***

  4. hmm... I'm thinking maybe not just spoofing their ip, but maybe trying to gain access via a spoof scan? ie. trying to get onto the local network by trying to identify themselves as an address from the inside? either way, this is definitely an amature trying to do something. I have personally never heard of a search bot doing something like this.

OH yeah and while A Ddos attack may not hinder you from connecting to the site, if it were a ddos, lagg would be prevalent, and on the server side of things, it would show into the logs with syn acks probably somewhere in the ballpark of at very least 10 to 20 a second from the same ip. Also if you have server equiptment or routers with led screens on them, they may or may not show that there is a ddos happening.

Ex: (from rev3's ddos attacks coming from mediadefender)

  5. Has anyone tried the Electronic one?

Do you mean the software version or do they have another type? (I thought I saw another type one time)

I think they have a software version in the linux repositories somewhere.

  6. who knows what is actually the fastest now... there are so many that are so fast it's crazy. Personally for the most part I think its a waste of money...

    BUT....

THAT DAMN SURE WILL RUN CRYSIS *if crysis were coded to run on that computer anyways.

btw: that computer in an endless loop? what if it found it's own end to the loop? lol

  7. I dunno... doesnt sound like a deal to me, pimp this!

Add about 150 for a 20" monitor if you so wish..

the deal your friend is giving you doesnt even come with half of this (unless you generalized) why dont you just build it yourself? save some money and get your techno-lust on.

bttw, yah, never go with a pw-sup that comes with a case as they are basically just cheap toss-ins they do just to make the price look better these days.

  8. We all know that SSD drives are blazing fast, but how about a hybrid solution fit for only the windows paging file?

Here is my idea: when the write speed catches up with the read speed, and they are alot cheaper (say.. 2 years from now maybe?) I think it would be a cost effective solution to use one as just a drive for a page file.

Think about it like this: In a server, this would highly benefit since you would not have to go buy 32gigs of memory for a server, because you could just use the paging file as a slightly lower speed spillover from the memory.

Before anybody says anything, I do know that it does not provide ecc, but I mean there is other uses as well.

A gaming machine for instance, if you could rewrite some code (or add compatibility) to write all game data that wont fit into ram to an SSD as of now, your performance should improve drasticly (though not for the write times...)

What is every1else's thoughts on this?

  10. nullArray, I don't hate you (hell I don't even know you) I just wish that instead of being so offensive all the time, try to add something to the conversation, and I think that's what everyone really means here.

You have posted some very good info about various things in the past, and your definitely part of this community. We just all like to give our opinions about things, and yah, we really do not like negativity toward our thoughts, but there is a difference between saying something that is negative and blatantly aggressive.

  11. Second if it was Japanese or Sweedish people, there wouldn't be anything interesting here..., but the OP's intention,

(wether intentional or not) was the implication that they were terrorists or something

WTF are you nullArray a damn hall monitor? Yah, Im sick and tired of you calling everyone out on YOUR point of view. It's a damn thread I have been nice but I have about had enough. Everytime someone says something YOU don't like (and most of the time you try relentlessly to read between the lines to find a fake reason) you lash out. Your issues= NOT our problem, go find another thread/post/etc to post something POSITITVE. This is lame. I mean yah, I understand that he stood up for me when you were pissed about my Wii bash thread, and don't get me wrong when I say that the thread could easily be taken WAY out of context, but just chill out man, it's not a point the finger world here, maybe where you are, but not here.

  12. Yeah... just understand that some peoples lives are so sad and empty that they feel as though they need to try to start crap in a forum because they don't have what it takes to backup their attitudes in the real world. Don't let it get to you though, just keep posting wink.gif

    ouch.. thats harsh eh?

  13. Maybe it is time to look at the WINE, and create a additional layer (which will allow same access as Windows) for Windows Games under Linux.

hell, maybe for wine they should just go ahead and set it up where you put in a legit copy of windows, it rips everything but the gui and extra programs (ie. notepad/etc) and just boots with that for a compatibility layer when using WINE. That way it *is* emulation, BUT only to emulate the Compatibility layer.

  14. The thing is if I go Phenom2 with GTX295, will there be any major problems with it? like bad support or compatibility or something?

No there would be no issues between the phenom2 and the gtx295, just make sure the board you buy supports sli instead of crossfire, thats all.

I would still think about getting a power supply no smaller than a 550watt because yah, the phenom and gtx will take ALOT of power away by themselves, but you also have to take into account the mtb, all the integrated peripherals/etc on the mtb including memory, and then if your case has lighting, and extra fans, or you want to add more fans, then it is always a + to just go ahead and overkill it a little bit, besides, pwr supplies around the 550 to 800watt range are fairly cheap these days so you dont have to worry about breaking the bank.
