Cosmo
I get that ad (recording) in between every song. I hope McDonalds rots in a fiery hell...
Sparda
LOL! Install adblock and get rid of it damn f00! http://www.hak5.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4404
Cosmo
I have Adblock Plus, but it won't block the McDonald's recording that's played in between every song.
Sparda
block the advertising javascript from pandora, don't count on a crappy automated tool to do it for you!
Cosmo
I've tried blocking the recording, but that blocks the music as well. Oh well...
Sparda
I've tried blocking the recording, but that blocks the music as well. Oh well... You are probably doing it wrong. Add these to your adblock list (easiest way to do this is to save these as a txt file and tell adblock to import them): [Adblock] fastclick.net adtech.de mediaplex.com zipzoomfly.com clickhype.com adtology2.com bullz-eye.com adbureau.net atwola.com danasoft.com claxonmedia.com nvero.net trl.ru tribalfusion.com valueclick.net idregie.com ads.web.aol.com todaysfreevideo.com hitbox.com fluent.ltd.uk serving-sys.com ad.yieldmanager.com clicktorrent.info/phpAds ftjcfx.com afcyhf.com 66.35.208.140 a2.yimg.com advertising.entensity.net xads.zedo.com adlog.com.com ad.yieldx.com adserving.budsinc.com http://www.newgrounds.com/ads/ ads.newgrounds.com http://irongeek.com/sigs/sig.png casalemedia.com ads.shizmoo.com doubleclick.net ads.ign.com adserver.securityfocus.com onestat.com adbrite.com zedo.com http://www.vidmax.com/css/images/header.swf http://i.somethingawful.com dynamic.fmpub.net ads.pointroll.com http://www.pandora.com/include/Advertising.js http://www.pandora.com/include/tunerAdEmbedGenre.jsp http://www.pandora.com/include/tunerAdEmbed.html
Cosmo
I probably confused you, but the ads are McDonald's recordings that are played the same way that the music is. Those ads that you see, are just telling you that the damn recording is currently being played. It's like one of the songs, but you can't skip it and you can't block it without blocking the rest of the music. ***Edit*** I added everything you listed, but no luck. Thanks anyways. Sparda
There probably is a way to block them (possibly using adblock), but I just don't get any advertisements at all.
Sparda
I just noticed you do';t have noscript installed, that's 3 quarters of your problem. Get it installed and don't allow JavaScript from any domain except pandora.com. Check my last post here, you'll enjoy it muchly :D Also: I did enable JavaScript globally (only with pandora.com open) just to see what would happen, and what happened was I got all the advertisements and it crashed firefox because flash 9 beta 2 tends to lock up the browser when ever there are more then two or so flash objects on the same page (some times even one if it has a constant animation). Cosmo
Alright, I installed NoScript and it worked, for the most part. The ad with the guy holding the burger is gone, and the McDonald's ad only plays once now, when I switch radio stations. After that, everything is fine. Thanks Sparda. Thanks Sparda. np. btw, that 'one ad every station change' could be a cookie thing (although I don't realy see how), I also block cookies from all sites (including pandora.com) and use the cookie vault extension to selectively allow cookies.
