Just_a_User
Dont know the reasons behind the selection but I for one like USB A on the nano, I find it very flexible accommodating old and new kit. Maybe that’s the reason - for maximum backwards comparability.
b0N3z
The Nano is very slim down version of the Mark V and also an updated version. Im pretty sure the USB A female is more about compatibility than newer hardware. It is a lot easier to plug your phone into with the supplied power cable for you phone or tablet also easier to plug in a usb wifi dongle for a 3rd radio. Its about versatility and compatibility with all your devices. ( usb wifi dongle, usb sim modem, your phone/tablet or even a usb flash drive mounted as sd). Nobody likes to carry extra extra cables to make everyday items work. Edited February 17, 2017 by b0N3z
Foxtrot
Because it would be daft to ask the user to use a micro USB to USB adapter if they want to use a USB radio.
