c679103
I would like to walk around with just the nano (no computer, no android, nothing else plugged into the USB) and passively collect MACs and SSIDs. Can the nano be used like this (with a battery back)?
Captain
I'm not entirely sure I understand your question. Do you mean you want to collect SSIDs to a list for later review? You could accomplish this by starting PineAP, not allowing associations, and logging SSIDs and Probes. That would capture all the SSIDs. However, I am not sure it would capture MAC addresses. sud0nick
I think if you log associations you'll essentially capture MACs of devices that try to connect. Anyway, yes you can set up PineAP before you leave on your walk and just let the Pineapple run on a battery pack.
dustbyter
Are you talking about doing wardriving with the nano? It would be that with out the GPS component.
Smarty
Use airodump-ng and write output to csv or kismetfile and call it via a script in /etc/RC.local. Fire up your nano and start walking.....no hardware needed at the scene.
