Sebkinne
Hey everyone, For the next ~48 hours we will be taking down all WiFi Pineapple MK5 and MK4 services, while we migrate them to our new system. This means infusions, modules, upgrades, and packages will be unavailable for those two products. Cheers, -The WiFi Pineapple Team

velkrosmaak
Have just been scratching my head while trying to upgrade the Pineapple at work. D'oh! Is there a way to perform a firmware upgrade over CLI? I've got the .bin...
amichell
Download the firmware from the website 2.4.0.bin Download WinSCP and put the firmware on the /tmp/directory run md5sum for the firmware to be sure it will match the hash from the download page. if the md5 hash matches execute sysupgrade -n -v /tmp/2.4.0.bin, somewhere on the top bar will be a CMD box wait for a reboot and after that you are ready. Hope this help.

BTW: the Show IP function in the Network Tile does not work anymore - there is displayed a "login" html code every time U click at it :-(

Sebkinne
All issues on our end are now resolved for the MK5. The issue at the moment lies with OpenWRT's package repository for the AA branch being down. Once they fix this, packages will be available automatically again. Best Regards, Sebkinne

Any time schedule when they will be back online again || is there any backup repo? archive.org has an older mirror of the openWRT repos. You can tell opkg to use them as a temporary workaround. Here's what I did: Step #1: edit /etc/opkg.conf and replace the hak5 repos with the mirror from archive.org: #src/gz pineapple_packages http://cloud.wifipineapple.com/mk5/packages src/gz pineapple_packages http://web.archive.org/web/20150817095316/http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages/ Step #2: update: root@Pineapple:~# opkg -f /etc/opkg.conf update Downloading http://web.archive.org/web/20150817095316/http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages//Packages.gz. Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/pineapple_packages. Step 3: ????????? ?????????? Step 4: profit! root@Pineapple:~# opkg install coreutils Installing coreutils (8.16-1) to root... Sebkinne
Hi Everyone, The package issue should now be fixed. We have redirected the packages temporarily to an official OpenWRT mirror. You might experience a little slow download speeds if you are in the US, but nothing dramatic. Best Regards, Sebkinne
