cooper
Well, no surprises here. There is a laser system out there that can identify the females of a specific type of mosquito (the type that spreads malaria) based on the speed at which they flap their wings. The lasers will zap the females since they're the only ones that sting. Wikipedia I recall seeing something similar for protecting crop fields against airborne pests, but might just be mixing up the two. If you can create a laser system that will identify and target a specific species of mosquito and even its gender based on the speed it flaps its wings, identifying a target as massive as a drone should be child's play. Plus they already have lasers that can take out rockets in mid-air so nothing new there either. Here's a tweet containing a video of a drone that got taken out because of too much ram... CybJaffe
I really enjoyed your video. It is looking too nice if it is practically possible. Can you please tell me the basic concept behind this technology? I mean how the LASER cannon is working? It effects which part of the UAV? What is its Power capacity and also what is its range?
