VaKo
Slight issue here. If Linux doesn't support your wifi chip (its the chip, not the brand thats important) your forced to used ndiswrapper (Google it), but that precludes you from using the hacking&cracking side of Linux. Ndiswrapper simply allows Linux to use the wireless drivers provided for windows, which means that the sniffers etc cannot access the actual hardware, only the windows wrapper. Kateweb
so basicly I nead to get a card with the right chipset ? becase useing ndiswrapper would bar me from useing much of the fun stuff built in to The Aduitor Security Collection ? well at least I was planing on picking up another card anyway so i can add an antena. VaKo
Pretty much, I'm no expert myself but its what I believe to be correct. Unless anyone has some more recent information on this. This is what our resident Linux expert, Dr Metatron, seems to recommend, and what I'd buy. VaKo
"curb scored" = "half inched"/"lifted"/"acquired" She has an "acquired" PCMCIA bay for her desktop?

nico
As the WG111T uses an atheros chipset, it may work with te madwifi drivers. http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/
a5an0
yup. just keep in mind that if you use madwifi, your wireless interface will be ath instead of wlan or eth
