How soon can we expect info and tools to start developing hardware addons for the pineapple? I would love to have an external lcd and some buttons to know whats happening. I have thought about using an arduino and the serial port to make such an addon, but want to wait for expansion port info before I decide on a route and invest the time and effort. Darren Kitchen Posted March 21, 2014 Share Posted March 21, 2014 The first sample of the first expansion board came back with some faults. Show stopper stuff that can't ship. We're being rather meticulous about this one. Unfortunately we have multiple projects tieing up our hardware partner (who basically does design work for the love and fun of it for us) and as such the release date has slipped and gotten back into the que. I know we'll have it by defcon - and if all goes well most likely well before. I'll let you know when we get our second sample unit in for testing. The hold up right now is industrial engineering wise - getting all the pins to fit and what not. External processor? Maybe as a different module.
