ssmithisme
I am looking for a tool that can map the devices on a network. Something that will go out and look for devices and list everything it finds or better, make a cool chart of the devices instead of a boring old list. vector
im assuming this is on a windows box. theres a few apps that i use and like. it really depends on how you want to map your network. a couple of my favs are commview for wifi, essential nettools, and network magic pro. i wont go into all the features of all of them becuase that would take way too long but heres some examples of network maps that might help you. taiyed14
I like netscan and angry IP scanner for stand alone and quick mapping on Windows, otherwise Nmap, or ZenMap are great. http://www.softperfect.com/products/networkscanner/ http://www.angryziber.com/w/Home
