The name of the PC might give some hint but I don't like your chances. ie:Front counter etc. poor choice I know except I've seen it done. Possibly named after employees too. Give them a call ask for"x" ask what department they are in and where in the building you can find them for a "meeting". I <3 social engineering.

I still think permission should be asked out of courtesy but that's just me.

I am yet to see the need to use this personally at the moment also but would be open to suggestions for practical application to home data or small business.

I got the issue yesterday, looking forward to reading that article. If you are pen testing a network you are "unfamiliar" with location of the machines may be irellevant but during your pen testing you may "discover" more information that will help you deduce the machines location.

An ART antennae should work ok or a decent omni perhaps.

Yeah i did some tafe but find I didn't learn much there. I start all my courses this month some time and I will be getting a pay rise too yay! Although it's online based seeklearning.com has some good deal going atm.

I agree, custom firmware is definitely a good option.

To me we are community and meant to be one with segregation. We were all noobs at one stage. It's helping the noobs get de-noobified that should be our goal.

I'm only repeating what employers have told me and i get over 52k with no certs or degree just practical experience.
