well the thing is, its not anyone who comes to our meetings, and yea, people in highschool are still like preschoolers sometimes. I mean i know she had a valid reason its just hte tone she used.

Musta been fun darren, and im really happy with the discussion on this thread, though i have a question. Our health teacher at our school is the only person standing in our way of getting our little oasis into a real club because she said "teens arent ready to be labeled gay" Yet today she comes into our meeting looks at us and says to our adviser in a bitchy tone "tell your lesbians to stop writing on the walls of the 700 hall" Me and a friend got really bitchy and started to fight with her until the president guy told us to calm down. I think she's homophobic in a way. She's just like edgy and mean to the gay students, and we realyl cant complain at her cause the administration likes her. But yea guys, keep the discussion going its interesting. :D

heh, mostly i screw wiht peoples heads, my good guy friend is VERY Flammboyant so we hold hands everyonce inawhile and everyones like "Isn't he gay? Isn't She a lesbian? Don't they both have lovers?!" It's amusing.

So everyone in a while, i see a little mention of gays on this forum and for the most part it's talked about for a few replys then no body really talks about it, and I'm really curious to what you all think. Now I'd really appreiate it if people didn't make this into a gay bashing, if you can't write a mature response(either if your okay with it or not) then don't respond. and in no way am i asking for anyone on here whose in the closet to come out, i just am a very curious person. So please be respectful, us gays have names for you too. So I'm okay with gay's being a lesbian myself. I'm, I guess what you would call a activist for our school on gay rights, we have a meeting once a week for kids who want to come, but we get about 10 kids. We try to stop the bashing a little bit by going to classes and talking about it, but we don't keep track of when someone says "thats gay". But in our little disscussion with classes we ask people to try and substitute it. Now most teachers don't like us coming into the class because either their really concerened for our saftey (I'm not sure why most of us talking are butch dykes and could take them down..) or are not comfortable with it, one of our teachers talks to the staff once a month or so about it, but since it's not a manditory meeting the teachers who aren't comfortable do not show up. though it should be, our school administration stands differently on the issue. Some stop the gay kids from kissing/holding hand/or each other because its "wrong" while the straight kids can do it. Or they stop the straight kids and not the gay kids cause they aren't comfortable with it. I really think the administration needs to make them stand one way or another, either they stop all of us, or none of us.

I just thought id throw in, has anyone ever been to a all comptuer bookstore and met one of the sales clerks who has NO idea about computers, i love them, sorta, in a bookstore in oregeon they have a few apple II's, commodores, etc on display, i was trying to get one of the guys to sell me one for 10 dollars until he caught on it was worth a lil more than that. say 1000 according to the sign. twas sad but funny for the 2 minutes i was trying to convice him, so a little off topic, but a interesting story... But yes, it would be very hard to be like i no nothing about comptuers! then have a bunch of hack links in your bookmarks, usally a bad thing.

Ok, I'm still a litte confused, You can write the virus and it not be illegal. And if you want to test them, you must get concent? So if you write a virus you can technically upload it onto your computer, without getting into trouble as long as your okay with it?

so im lame and am now finaly goona reply: For books i suggest: Confessions of teenage hackers and the ethical guide to hacking also i would try the goodwill for computers people throw out what they think is sometimes broke but sometimes really isnt. I would suggest listeing to some other podcasts, search around on itunes its free to download and most of the podcasts for computers are free. hopefulyl i helped if even a little. Good luck.
