  1. After setting the password, did you setup client mode or anything else? is it working? are you just concerned about the lights being on? A little more info would be helpful. Green is always going to be solid. This is showing that the device has power. Blue is for the AR9331 wlan0 card and is on when the card is active for example, when karma is active or anything using wlan0 Red is for the RTL8187 wlan1 card and is on when using that radio, for example client mode or anything using wlan1 Hope this answers your question. P.S. This info can also be obtained from the manual that came with your pineapple.
  2. I have recently moved my pineapple into close proximity to my router and have noticed that it no longer disconnects as it was before. The pineapple before was at 11 feet and now it is at 5 feet and no issues. I mean obviously closer to signal is always better but a matter of complete failure to 100% working due to 6 feet seems odd to me.
  3. More than happy to assist.
  4. When I send a message (ex. hey ) to my gmail while SMSer is enabled, I get a response from SMSer, Could you repeat that for me or My Phone must be acting up again I couldn't read your message, etc. When I disable SMSer and send a message , I recieve it in my inbox. I sent the message: hey It shows in my inbox as: Sent from my mobile. Enjoy. _____________________________________________________________ hey From my understanding this is the signature that sprint attaches to SMS messages sent to an email(it converts to an MMS, out of my control) Anything else let me know.
  5. I have Uninstalled the older version of SMSer and have installed the new updated version. I am able to send a text from SMSer but when I reply, the message gets to my gmail account but no matter what it is, SMSer can not find any key words, in any combination. Below are details. smser.conf Received Message When you send an SMS to an email address, it gets converted to an MMS. It also attaches a signature of, "Sent from my mobile. Enjoy." I have checked all settings on my phone as well as speaking with sprint tech support about this issue. The tech claims it is from my phone and a factory reset needs to be performed. Since I have multiple phones, I have done the factory reset and it makes no difference. I have found that if I use Handcent SMS and force SMS instead of MMS it works. I have tested the settings with messaging.sprintpcs.com with no luck. Messages fail to send with gmail/pineapple. I believe the issue lies with how SMSer is parsing the emails and sprint converting them to MMS. Replied Example(Gmail inbox) If there is anything else you would like me to test, let me know.
  6. Here's an update. I decided to look into the logs and see what i could find. Dmesg Output I masked my AP MAC. You can see that it keeps losing association with the AP. I haven't changed the location of the pineapple. I decided to change my AP TX Power from 71 to 95. I have also changed the Wireless Security to WPA2 AES and set a high key renewal time. As I have heard that this may cause connection issues for some cards. After making these changes, the pineapples client mode seems to be working flawlessly. Here is the Network Tile AP Connection Info BSSID: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX SSID: HackBockz Channel: 6 Signal Strength: -72 dBm Quality: 38 of 70 Security: WPA2 New Dmesg Output
  7. How is it not working? Please explain further. Also is wlan0 and wlan1 enabled?
  8. Usually in the network tile, I can only see the AP provided by wlan0. Occasionally it will see my home AP. Once I try to establish a connection it's a hit or miss wether it connects. When it does connects and gets an IP, it acts as though it times out trying to access the internet for infusions/packages/etc. The wlan1 LED sporadically goes on and off with no rhyne or reason. Sometimes on for hours, other times a few seconds. I have reset the pineapple, removed infusions/etc. There is no pattern to progress with any order in which I do things. Hope this helps. 9. I don't necessarily think it's what "tool" would be best or easy to use but more so as to what concepts and practices I should learn. I would start by understanding the types of attacks and how they are performed. Understanding the history of devices/programs/concepts and how they work will lead you to a better understanding. There is no simple way to say "here is how you hack". Hacking comes in many shapes and forms as well as uses. You first need to see what interests you, more so what do you mean by learning how to "hack". What is your goal?
  10. I think you're right. It is operating on a 5v incredicharge battery pack.
  11. So I currently have the pineapple ready for deployment. The issue I'm having is that when I connect my Alfa AWUS036H and run the pineapple on battery, when I try to put wlan2 into monitor mode it times out and the pineapple reboots after about 90 seconds. Any ideas/suggestions?
  12. You would need another computer/wireless card. Either add another wlan interface to the pineapple or use a laptop to deauth. use one antenna to broadcast with karma and the other antenna to be in client mode to share internet to connected users.
  13. Discount of $100 dollars. Use the code: XIAOPAN
  14. Slackware, in my opinion was a great starting point for me to learn linux. I accidently wondered into a Linux Users Group meeting at my local coffee shop when i was in middle school. from that point forward it has been linux. I tend to go between the flavors for one reason or another.
  15. Is there a schematic for the pineapple? Maybe a pinout explantion for the expansion slot?
