  1. No I don't understand german I think you are getting Sebkinne and I mixed up lol and thats interesting. It looks like you need to add a header to your request: xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Access-Control-Allow-Origin", document.URL);
  2. I don't think you have your internet connection sharing setup properly. It seems like your traffic is trying to be router through the pineapple. What OS are you using?
  3. To make this legal you must have permission from the people who are installing your app
  4. Sounds like your pineapple doesn't have an internet connection. Also do the automatic configuration, the manual configuration is for users who want a custom configuration really
  5. I'm pretty sure you can post anything you want to. Its an open source project you should just let people know "Hey if you mess up you might brick your pineapple and hak5 isn't responsible" I don't see why another sub forum would be needed for that
  6. Yeah it sounds to me like you are kicking your laptop off of the pineapples network. You need to blacklist your mac
  7. As far as mobile goes: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11381673/detecting-a-mobile-browser The portal will appear to be any url that they tried to go to. If you don't want that you could use some DNS spoof and then redirect them to your spoofed url and that should work fine As far as SSL goes I don't see anyway to set it up for NoDogSplash but even if there was it would be a self signed cert so it would give people warnings and thats just messy
  8. Could happen because people aren't typing in credentials. Also to make them go to a specific site just change the value of $redirect.
  9. I don't know where you heard that from. ISPs are allowed to charge you whatever they want to now and that will not change. Re-classifying ISPs to Title 2 is about keeping the internet the same as it currently is not changing it. If we don't re-classify them then the internet will change (for the USA anyways)
  10. Depends on if you're eyes are open or closed I guess
  11. Got a spare bedroom? Time to jump ship if we abandon Net Neutrality lol
  12. Thats what they want yes and they have been doing that for years with this project called the NAS. Net Neutrality is the opposite of censorship. You got remember its not the white house that will be regulating the ISPs its the FCC
  13. I never thought that Net Neutrality would be in the news in a million years. I also never thought that it would be something that we would try to get rid of. Ever since obama came out and said he is for Net Neutrality these ill informed politicians have come out trying to convince people Net Neutrality is a bad thing. AND ITS WORKING. People think that Net Neutrality is the government trying to control the internet like SOAPA or PIPA and that it makes a government monopoly out of ISPs. "Its obama care for the internet" as Ted Cruz would put it and a lot of people have caught onto that for some reason. I assume everyone on this forums is all about Net Neutrality but if you're not, why not? I'd like to hear good arguments from people in the computer science and IT worlds.
  14. Are you sure your connected to your work wifi or is your pineapple and you just think its your work wifi?
  15. Indeed it is but we are geeks so when have bad ideas ever stopped us?
  16. The school I teach at has a open wireless network that you can connect to but it has a captive portal that you have to login to (which you create a username and password for before coming to the school). Anyways after becoming a teacher i logged in with my teacher creds and the second day i was there I opened my laptop and noticed I was never asked to login to the portal. so I immediately spoofed my mac address and was asked to login again. This got me thinking that they are identifying you based upon your mac so i spoofed another laptops mac address that had never connected to the network to my mac books mac that had connected and it got online right away with no questions asked. This is awesome because students have less network permissions than the teachers do (they can't go on facebook youtube but teachers can) so all a student has to do is spoof their mac to a teachers and they can do whatever they want. I'm really hoping that they never decided that since you are authenticated to the network (based upon your mac) that you should automatically be authenticated to email, gradebook, or whatever but I can see it happening
  17. I tried plugging in a standard keyboard yesterday and it didn't do anything. The only thing i could make happen was brining up the xbox start menu thing. And I can't plug the controller into my computer because I don't have the USB adapter for it
  18. I have carpal tunnel and I just got GTA 5 and my hands are to slow to be able to type in the cheat codes. That game is horrible without cheats. So i decided that I'd write a ducky script to do the cheats for me but it doesn't like keyboard input. Has anyone had any success with a xbox-controller ish firmware or has no one even ventured into that area yet?
  19. Why were you unable to PM me? And just to answer your question but lets try to stay on topic here I mostly play metal my style is a lot like Underoath, norma, oh sleeper but i've played everything gospel, classic rock, dub step. The primary genre of music I listen to is old metal core (from when metal core was good), death metal, black metal anything thats not bitch metal really. I also have my blues in there little hurricane, white stripes, black keys
  20. I've used mono before buts pretty buggy. I couldn't run some applications developed for work in mono but it would work fine in .NET and some things that would break in .NET would run in mono. The mono devs should probably just pick up working on the .NET core and make it better. The reason microsoft did this is unclear but I think maybe it has something to do with them laying off employees? They probably said "why do we need a whole department working on this if we can just open source it have people do it for free and just pay a few guys to manage everything" I hope visual studios comes to linux or OSX as well. Its my favorite IDE for .NET No matter what microsofts reasons for this were its a great thing for the linux community I bet we will be seeing a lot of things coming over to linux now because we now have official .NET support I never thought I'd say this but... good job microsoft!
  21. .NET is now open source and will be coming to linux and OSX which is amazing news for all of those out there like me who hate windows but have to program in .NET for work so you have a windows VM that you live in during the day. What are your thoughts on this? http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dotnet/archive/2014/11/12/net-core-is-open-source.aspx
  22. I have 3 pineapples that are all running 2.0.4 and haven't had any problems with it. 2 I've had since version 1.0 of the firmware and have been flashed many times throughout the year I'm not sure why you experienced that problem but you should update to 2.0.4 because it has the best security and PineAP is a lot faster on it. Do a manual flash and double check the MD5 sum of the file
